After a bout 2 months of owning my brand new dell, I started noticing that sometimes when I would boot it up, it would load up and when it gets to the desktop, it looks like its Windows 95 or something. It also pops up a message saying something like, cannot load desktop. I usually have to restart my computer 2-3 other times until it finally boots up like Windows 7. Any ideas why this is happening or what I can do to fix it?

I am not really that good at poker, but I still love playing it and wouldn't mind spending $5-10 to play a game where I may have the chance of winning actual money. I feel like all the big poker websites are for people who are really good and willing to shell out a great deal of money to play. Any trusted websites that could perhaps fit the needs of a cheap newbie?

To start off, I have a pretty decent background in computers, so this is all stuff I can do. I recently had a hard drive failiure, so I went out and bought a brand new 1TB hard drive and figured I would pick up a new copy of Windows 7 while I was at it. I installed the hard drive properly. Normally, to install Windows, you just start the PC up, put the OS disk in and it will boot from the CD. I get to the screen where is says "boot from CD". I hit enter and nothing happens for a minute. After a while it says, "No boot device available."

I looked up online and found that sometimes you need to enter the setup by pressing F2 at startup and change a few of the boot settings. As the first priority at boot, I am supposed to set it to CD/DVD, which makes sense. However, I don't have that option, but I do have "optical drive" which I assume is the same thing, correct?

Anyways, after changing the boot priorities, I get the same error message. It is like my drive cannot detect the CD or something. I am pretty sure that my DVD drive works, because prior to the HD crash, i'm pretty sure it could read CD's.

Do you think there is a chance, that my drive really could be defective too in that small window since then and now?

If my computer detected my DVD drive, would it say DVD drive and not optical?

Anyone have any ideas on what is going on here and why it wont let me boot up Windows 7?

It's been a while since I have played Magic and I recently got back into it with a friend. I recently opened a booster pack that had the card Chandra Ablaze. From what I understand it is a really good card, but I do not understand how to use it. What is the +1, -2, and -7 abilities? What does that mean? Also, where the power/toughness should be, it just has a 5. What does that mean? If anyone could explain how to use this card and what it all means, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am going to upgrade my Verizon account and the phones I am most interested in are: Samsung Alias 2, LG enV Touch, Samsung Rogue, and LG Versa.

I know none of these phones will be able to browse the internet as well as an iPhone, but which one comes closest? Also, do any of these phones do the whole "applications" thing like an iPhone?

Also, which one, in your opinion is just the best phone of the four?

Me and my friend are looking to split the cost of a booster box. However, we havent been able to find a good online store for one and we also aren't sure which is the newest edition of the cards. So, the question is this...

What is the newest edition of Magic cards and what is the best, cheapest place to buy a booster box of them?

Recently my computer (running windows XP) has been acting a little funny.

It sometimes doesn't start up programs such as iTunes, Firefox and Windows Media Player. It will show up in the task manager, but the program never started up. I will have to end the process from task manager and have to try starting the program up again 1 or 2 more times. Also, my computer has been making a clicking noise too...and it usually happens when I am trying to start these programs.

I am assuming that I am in store for a hard drive failure or something. Anyone have any ideas why I am having these issues?

I already own a 360 and love it. I have the money for a PS3, but I am not sure if I really need it. I know that if a game comes out for both PS3 and 360, I will get it for 360.

So, I know there are PS3 only games, but are they really worth owning a PS3 for?

When a creature is put out, I know that it has summoning sickness that turn and cannon attack. What I am unsure about though is this. If they have a tap-to-use ability, can you use it the turn it comes out? How about a non-tap-to-use ability?

I am getting a new xbox elite. I already have an old xbox, but I want to get all my saved games in my new box from my old one. By recovering my gamertag, will that transfer all of my saved games or do I need to get one of those cables for that?

I don't care about all the downloaded stuff. I can redownload all of that. I am just wondering about the saved games.

I have been on the same internet connection for about a year now and I have never had this issue until this afternoon.

When I try to connect to live it says that my MTU isn't high enough and that I should set it to 1364 or put it on auto. My router was already set to auto, so I don't see why I am getting this error. I also tried setting it to 1364, but I got the same error.

Why is it saying that I am having this issue when my router is clearly doing the correct thing?

When I visit the store, there are something like 20 different kinds of HDMI cables ranging from $10-100. There is also a Xbox brand cable too. Does it really matter how much I pay for this cable or what brand I get, or will the picture more or less be the same no matter which one I get?

I also work out every day...does it matter if I take them before or after the workout?

I just bought a brand new 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring with all the bells and whistles. This car came with a USB iPod jack. However, when I plug my USB iPod cable in there with the iPod, it doesn't quite work the way I thought that it would.

It detects the iPod and makes the iPod screen do that "do-not-disconnect" thing with the red circle. My LCD screen also says "connecting to USB". When it finally picks it up, all the songs are listed on the LCD screen by 4 letter acronyms or something. It will not display all my artists. It divides all my songs into hundreds of random folders and will always start by playing the same song. If I hit the info button on any of the songs, it will let me see the title and so on, but if I don't it will be represented by random letters. All the folders aren't organized by artist or anything and aren't titled.

I expected it to be just like looking at my iPod where it would have all the artists listed and you could choose one and so on.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem or is this how it is supposed to work? (which would be retarded)

I am buying a vibrator for my girlfriend for her birthday. She has showed a lot of interest in this brand, and I am just curious what the difference is between all the different Neas and how good the quality of them are.

This one is on $45 and I can't see the difference between the two different vibrators except for the color.

If you look online, there are other Neas that go for even more up to $80. However, I really can't see a difference in them. I know this is kind of personal, but are there any girls out there who know something about these vibrators and what the best bang for my buck is? Maybe you know a better rechargeable vibrator out there that is cheaper?

I just got a 4 point speeding ticket in Colorado. I was going 16 mph over the limit (86 in a 70). I got a ticket for $162. The officer said that I could either mail the ticket in with the payment and get the points reduced to 2 or I could go to court and try to fight it.

Last time I got a ticket, I filled out a plea bargain saying that I had a broken headlight and I think I got the points reduced to 1. I can't remember, but I think the fine price was also reduced.

Would you recommend I try going to court again for this ticket or just pay it off?

I just watched this movie and I am left completely clueless. Can someone please explain the significance of all the characters, especially the old guy who lived at the miracle town. Also, can someone please explain the ending to me, it doesn't make sense.

It seemed like such an irrelevant story. Nothing important ever happened, it seemed like no character ever contributed anything to the story. Can someone explain something I didn't notice?

I have a laptop and I have a computer tower without a monitor and a keyboard. (Don't worry about how that came to be.)

Is there a way to make it so that I have the computer running and have it somehow connected to my laptop so that my laptop will display what is on my computer? If that is possible, is there a way to take it a step further and use my laptop as the keyboard for my computer too?

I know this is a strange request. I have a lot of computer skill in order to make this work if it is possible. I don't care how difficult it may be to do, please just tell me how.

I am 22 years old. For about a year now, I have had this chronic clearing of my throat. It is somewhat uncontrollable and it persists for about an hour and happens 4-5 times a day. It feels like my throat is filling up with mucus but when I try to clear my throat nothing really comes up. I just find myself clearing my throat over and over again for about an hour until it passes.

Now, I used to smoke for 5 years, but when this cough came up, I immediately quit. I went to a doctor. They took a throat culture and told me it was GERD. I took some medication for 2 months and it didn't help. I kept clearing my throat.

I went back after those 2 months and a different doctor told me it was just allergies. She put me on meds and those didn't help either.

Again, I went to the doctor another month later and they told me it was GERD again. I am currently on a new med, Omeprazole, for almost a month and this doesn't help either.

Reading up on GERD, it can have symptoms such as chronic cough like I have, but it also comes with acid reflux and heartburn, which I don't get. If this is the case, what are the chances that I actually have GERD?

If I do, in fact, have GERD, why wont any of the medications I am taking work? What would you suggest I do?

It has been a while since I have played WoW. I am making a new character and I am not sure what class to pick. If you could answer these questions, that would be appreciated.
