In my backyard, I have found twenty or so holes. I can't see the end of them, but I believe that is as they bend around just under the surface of the ground. The holes are right in the middle of the garden, which is right in the sun. I think they are toads as they croak in some nights. The holes have some dirt at the back where they've dug the beginning.

I was going to renovate my house but on close inspection saw that there was some timber coming off the corner of the roof. I touched the area and it came off! I saw a lot os black carpenter ants and dead termites. Why are there no living termites and only black carpenter ants? Are there also termites?
