I'm 20 years old. I'm generally good with computers know all the different parts and can put one together. If something goes wrong I can usually work out how to fix it. I know HTML and CSS (both pretty easy really). I play guitar (I'm no guitar god). I still like to play and make up some of my own tunes though. I'm also a fan of Bleach both the Anime and the Manga. I'm quite the gamer as well TF2, L4D1 & 2, Audiosurf...The list goes on and on. When I answer questions I try my best to answer them. If I answer your question and you don't understand feel free to send me a email. & Your welcome to become a fan.
What was the first advertisement that used a photo for?
All I know is that the first photo that was used as a advertisement was in Philadelphia in around 1843. If possible can you please link to an image of it. Sources would also be appreciated.
1 AnswerPhotography1 decade agoHow many people are still having the mouse cursor randomly enlarge with the ATI's Drivers?
My graphics Card
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-HD5770-GDDR5-Grap...
Are you one of them?
I've been having this issue for ages. I thought it was fixed but apparently not.
I know some temporary fixes but they are a real pain. Things like enabling mouse trails or changing the resolution and then changing it back again.
I have told ATI but it was a while ago. It's always a pain to find where to submit the driver issues (and when I eventually find it the bit where it asks for my card. My actual card isn't in the list.)
1 AnswerOther - Hardware1 decade agoCan Radiation be manipulated in some way to make atoms? Even Theoretically.?
If so has it already been done to some extent.
If anti-matter and normal matter collide they give off pure radiation so therefore it is reasonable to assume that the reverse can be done isn't it. Am I right in this. I'm just wondering I like reading about this stuff even if I don't understand it very well.
2 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoIs anti-matter the same as darkmatter?
or are they completely different?
Please explain...
Thanks.
7 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoHow do I validate this html?
i'm gonna kick myself if the answer is really simple.
<textbox>
<a href="#">
<img src="an-image.jpg" alt="image" />
</a>
</textbox>
My problem is I don't want the code to execute hence me putting it in a textbox but when I try to validate it, it doesn't like it very much.
What I am trying to accomplish with this is to be able to have a piece of code others can copy & paste into their site/myspace etc...
I don't like the solution I came up with which is to comment out the code in the textbox. If someone where to copy and paste the code it wouldn't appear unless they removed the comments.
I dont want a mass of code because that seems unnecessary for such a simple task.
I've already tried the <pre> tag and the <xmp> tag but the code executes when I use these so I can see the image not the code on the page.
thanks
4 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoCamstudio Recoding from speakers?
Here's my problem, I want to be able to record the sound from my computer without having to use a microphone up against the speakers.
But every time I try to record the sound it comes up with this error
"WaveoutGetSelectControl()failed."
I have tried looking looking for wave or seteromix (can't remember exactly what it is called) in the recording devices (I have made sure the that all disabled devices are shown) but I can't find anything.
I would like to know if it is possible to record from speakers in my case or if you know of some other program which will do the job (like Camstudio which will record my computer screen and the audio).
This is my sound card http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp...
I don't want to have to use the microphone against the speakers.
Thanks in advance for any help.
4 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoSuperstition, Good luck or Bad luck?
This has been bugging me for a while now. I'm not superstitious but I would still like to know. Because I keep getting different answers.
It is a white cat or a black cat which is supposed to be good luck?
Whichever one is good luck. Is the other bad luck?
I would also like to know if it is different depending on your race (if you know) .

I'm not going to pay attention to anyone who says I'm racist, because I know I am not. So don't waste your time and mine. The most you'll achieve from me is either a thumbs down (or in extreme cases reported).

16 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoIs it true that a hare can run faster up a hill than down a hill?
Same is probably true for a rabbit. I think I heard it was something to do with their hind feet being big. I'm just interested.
3 AnswersBiology1 decade agoDoes anyone else get annoyed when they see someone smoking while driving?
When I see someone on their mobile when driving I get really annoyed because they are breaking the law.
But when I see a driver smoking that really P***** me off because they seem to be getting away with something just as stupid if not more.
Anyone agree with me on this that smoking should be banned whilst driving like the mobile has been.
27 AnswersSafety1 decade agoDying in a dream and waking up to tell others about it. Is it possible?
I was told that If you die in your dream (probably more likely a nightmare) you will die in real life.
I was wondering If anyone has actually died in one of their nightmares and woke up to be able to tell people about it. Because as far as I can remember everytime I would have died in one of my nightmares I have woke up just before it happens.
Just thought this would be interesting to hear what people have to say.
