  • Can an adopted child get their birth parents' health history?

I was adopted at birth, I'm now 21 and have a lot of health issues.

I don't have any health history at all from my birth parents and am wondering if I even have a legal chance of getting it.

Knowing my birth families health history could really help me.

  • African Giant Millipede owners what do you feed your pet?

I have an African Giant Black Millipede who is about 2 years old I think. He was handed to me from a previous owner and since I love animals and have worked at a zoo for a while, I guess I was the best home.

I feed him cucumbers, lettuce and salad type things. Working at the zoo I was told they should be supplemented occasionally. I bought some tortoise pellets since they are salad eaters as well but Roto, my pet, won't eat it.

Maybe it's because I put them in with cucumbers and if you put the broccoli next to candy of course the kid picks candy right?

Just wondering, what do you supplement your pets with?

And how long have they been on it?

  • SI joint dysfunction?

I am young and was diagnosed with SI joint dysfunction at 16. I've been living with it for 4 years now. I've been through numerous doctors and haven't found a treatment that will work for more than a couple weeks.

Chiropractors do not work. I've seen them for 5 years for various problems.

Physical therapy does not work and I have never worked with a therapist I have actually liked yet.

The only temporary relief was steroid injections directly into the joint/nerve area.

Anyone with SI problems know what to do or any other ideas? I'm about to turn 20 and am at the point of having to use crutches and walkers to get around sometimes.

  • Can I not use tampons in hot tubs?

I'm very comfortable wearing tampons and have never had a problem with them while swimming. But last night and a time prior I noticed that while sitting in a hot tub, water from the tub has leaked in and soaked my tampon. Even when I go to change it after being in a hot tub water comes out when I pull the tampon out. Has this happened to anyone? Is it ok or should I see a doctor about it?

  • Ortho Evra help please?

I've been on the patch for well over a year, maybe 2 or more I've lost count. But recently (my last 2 periods) the day after I put on a new patch from having my period I've become very sick. I vomit non stop all day. I know nausea can happen with this medication but this is to the extreme and has occured recently.

I went to the doctor today, and she said it was just a virus but I don't think so. I also exprenced heavy bleeding while vomiting after the fact that my period had finished.

Change in birth control or just a coincidence?

  • How can I gain weight?

I am 19 and extremely small. I'm 5'6" and have been under 105 lbs my whole life. I eat high fat, high protien, high carb diets, and sometimes I just eat icecream and cookies for meals. I have weight trained for a good portion of my life because I was a gymnast and a volleyball player. I cannot gain weight and am rapidly loosing it. No matter what I eat and how much or how little I exercise my body deteriorates. My metabolism is literally eating me alive and I have no idea how to stop it.
