Please feel free to email me with any questions! I've been doing rescue for 13 years now, primarily hamsters. I can help with dwarf and Syrian hamsters, with what foods to give, proper housing, handling, how to chose your new pet and even basic illness care. I am NOT a vet, but I'll help any way I can! If you think your hamster needs a Vet, please call one immediately! I will help if you have a question about a hamster you purchase that arrives pregnant, or any questions about caring for motherless pups - but: I WILL NOT ANSWER OR RESPOND TO QUESTIONS REGARDING BREEDING - THEY WILL BE IGNORED AND I WILL BLOCK YOU. Hamsters are one of the most over bred animal species we have today. Breeding store bought animals, without the proper set up and a reputable breeding mentor is irresponsible and has led to diabetes, neurological disorders, aggression and countless other issues we face with hamsters these days. Please, if you do decide to breed, do your research and find a mentor.
Hi. I've done lots of work with hamsters - does anyone have a question for me?
I've been doing hamster rescue and rehab - along with other small animals for over ten years now. I see a lot of basic questions here regarding breed, cages, behavior such as biting (people and cage bars), wet tail, colds, bedding, adoption, you name it.
Here's my question - can I help you with anything? I'll watch the posts and answer everything I can :)
I'm not a vet - I'm not even trying to present myself as one - just to make that very clear
One last thing, I'll help you out with questions regarding pregnant hamsters and their young, but I do no condone home breeding "for fun", so please don't ask me how to breed your pets :) There are plenty of informative websites for that, as well as professional home breeders here who can answer those questions for you!
