  • Will Hollyhocks bought from the nursery bloom the first year?

I have read that hollyhocks planted from seed won't bloom the first year. I decided to skip the sowing part and purchased some from a nursery. They are about 15 inches tall and have 5-6 big leaves on them... I was wondering if they can bloom the first year since they are already this size? they look about like this picture http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_PVsgqPyZ-W8/TGwzTasGdYI/... , I also planted some real early this spring (also from plants) and look like this http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb300/buckette/... ... any chances of getting flowers?

  • Reformating hp computer without losing pictures/music?

I recently got (well at least i think it is) a virus on my HP computer, 30 seconds after windows opens it freezes and comouter restarts and screen goes black. I want to restore computer settings but not loose all my pictures and music...but cant copy them onto a usb key since it keeps on freezing before I can do it. I made 2 backup files on an external hardisk... 1 with all music/ picture files, 1 with everything....when I checked they are the same size...and if I try to restore them on a acer computer it says no files to restore (maybe because it isnt the same system (acer vs hp, and win vista vs 7)...is it sure that it copieds all my pictures and stuff.... are they compressed into a file? awwrrrggg If someone could please explain or give some other trick it would be appreciated...or else it I think I will have to erase everything....after drinking a half bottle of wine *sigh*
