All because of you I believe in angels Not the kind with wings No, not the kind with halos The kind that bring you home When Home becomes a strange place All you have to do is Shout it out! ~Rise Against There was something about his eyes... They weren't hiding something. No, they weren't hiding something. Except, inside of them, something was hiding there. In those dark eyes something was sleeping. Like a power waiting to be awakened. And instinct told me that when it woke, I'd be resenting that I'd ever met William Spencer. ~Blood Fate; Tory Mae

  • Naming the female protagonist?

I'm having a lot of trouble naming the main female character in my story. I originally chose Emberly for her, but the name was too modern compared to the other names like: Virgil, Amelie, Emrys, Salem, & Piran.

Some possibilities: Chandler, Salem, Quincy/Quinn, Tatum, Layne/Elain, Ilana, Harlow, Amaryn, Anmity, Taryn, Embry, Calanthe, Florence, Kit and Hollyn.

Or do you think Emberly is the way to go?

You can say any that aren't on the list; I LOVE suggestions :)

If this helps, her personality is strong, straight-forward. Small social circle, curious, determined, and clever.

I'd like her name to be a little less common than the others since she is a mortal (the rest of the world is sirens, dragons, etc.) but still old-timey lol. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I figured I'd get some of the most in depth answers in this section since you're all writers and readers too, so I knew you guys would have a great mind to ask even though everyone's always asking for help with names lol! Thank you all so much!

  • So if the world was ending would you raid the food stores or the pharmacy first?

I'm pretty sure you could hold more medicine than food, and people might trade food for it so I guess I'd get the medicine stores first, and then employ my six siblings to get the food! :P What about you?

  • Which is stronger/more romantic? Embery or Blythe?

I'm writing a story and for her name I want something slightly antique sounding, and I want it to be a name that is romantic and strong and most of all, unique.

  • Which name should I choose for the dragon in my story?

The story is about a curse, and the main male is a dragon who shifts between human and dragon form. He has to defend the heroin on her journey. He is silent, keeps his emotions guarded, and one of the only ancient dragons that can visit Earth's dimension. He's in love with the heroin, but she doesn't know/doesn't love him back. He has rich brunette curly hair, green eyes, and pale skin. I want his name to be strong, romantic, and gives off the impression of someone quiet.

I narrowed my choices down to these four names, but feel free to give different suggestions:

    Alistair

    Godfrey

    Percival

    Geoffrey

    Virgil

  • British slang for 'cool'?

My friend asked me to review a script she wrote, and in it one of her british characters say 'cool.' Now, I'm pretty sure that's not how they say it in London... (Also, I know british people aren't from London, I just don't know what you would call a London-er or a Londen-ese or London-an, sorry!)

So, do you know the british slang for cool? Fetch, ace? I have no idea, haha!

  • What kind of dress should I wear?

Hi, I have a tournament next week where I have to dress up nicely. It has to be school-appropriate because I will be wearing it during school hours. (At my school, if you're on a team, you have to dress formally all day to represent our school and team well. I will be acting, so I prefer something that allows movement around my arms. I am tall and slender, except my stomach has a little pudge. I have a nice chest and long legs, which I would like to show off. I have an edgier, silver-and-black style, short, layered blonde hair and smokey makeup. Now, my problem is deciding what kind of dress would look best on me. I want it to show off my chest A LITTLE! Ohmygod, there is nothing worse than showing too much. And I also want to show off my long legs. But I want to hide my stomach! Ugh, I am clueless! Keep in mind, I am VERY tall. Almost six foot tall. Are there any people out there who know the first thing about dresses who can tell me what to look for?

  • How did I do in this voice audition? :) LINK?

I re-did my voice audition for Juliet after getting some constructive criticism. I think I did much better this time. After 30 seconds is where I think I get good, so if you could tell me how I could make the first lines before 30 seconds better, that would make my day! Thank you so much! :D

  • Did I do bad with this audition? Link!?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__KiIvHMgBs

I thought I did really well! But... I'm not so sure, to be honest. PLEASE be honest. It's voice acting. You can even tell me I was awful and should give up, if that's true. And, please, don't say I'm awesome just to get best answer. Please, criticism!

  • How good is my voice acting? (Video link)?

Hey, I'm auditioning for a role in a Romeo-and-Juliet voice over, and I was wondering how well I did in my video. So, please, please tell me how you think it is, even if you tell me it is god-awful. I'm in my school play and people love my normal acting, but I've never asked anyone about my voice acting, so I'm curious. Please tell me how I could improve! Thanks, it means so, so much!

  • Should my male angel be dark and sexy, cocky and arrogant but lovable, or a gentlemen?(For a story)?

Okay, I have a short story for english I'm writing and I'm trying to decide. I love so many types of characters but narrowed it down to three and I literally CAN NOT CHOOSE. It hurts to try, lol.

  • Which topic should I choose for a short story for english?

Well, basically, I had to come up with a short story about being afraid. I came up with a bunch of ideas but I can't choose one.

1.) A subway robbery written in first person by one of the victims. (Fear for your well-being)

2.) A short story about an angel who is assigned to a human girl who can see angels. The girl falls in love with him(But is too afraid to tell him. Also, the angel loves her but she doesn't know) and saves him from a huge group of demons. The demons develop a huge grudge and as soon as they get the chance, drag her to Hell before she dies, and keeps her captive there. Then the angel must save her. Oh, the girl can see angels and demons because she is really a lost angel. I have never read/watched anything angel before, so PLEASE someone tell me if this has been done before because I wouldn't know unless someone told me. (Fear of rejection, fear of the supernatural, and fear of pain)

3.) A fantasy-war thing written in first person from a soldiers' point of view.

4.) A vampire story something lol. (Fear for your life)

5.) A girl who thinks she is getting fat and becomes anorexic. (Fear or gaining weight)

Okay there. I see only one has a plot but... I think they are all good ideas.
