I am applying for a L-tier tourist visa to China from London. I am not sure whether or not to submit my documents to the Chinese Consulate or the Chinese Visa Application Centre. It seems as though the application centre is more specialized in what I'm after, but is it just as well that I go the source? Are there any disadvantage of going to either location?

P.S. I will be applying on a Swedish passport.

I was curious to know if this would work well as a chemistry assessment in high school. I know that sebum is an ester and some acne peels are based on a salicylic acid formula. I was wondering what the reaction mechanism looked like for this reaction. Also, what would my independent variable be? Time? Concentration? And what commercially accessible ester could I use to mimic sebum as closely as possible? Finally, how could I measure the extent of the concentration?

I'm investigating the effects of UV light on pigments for my Extended Essay at school. I understand the theory behind ligands and coloured complexes, but I don't understand why cadmium selenide, a simple double covalent bond, can give off a yellow colour. What is the compound geometry? Do all transition metals (apart from zinc and scandium) form coloured compounds? Does cadmium have it's d-orbitals split when bonded with selenium?

I am in 10th grade and I am preparing for a MUN debate as part of the environmental committee. I am going to represent Brazil and will, "evaluate the role of nuclear energy in comparison to other form of renewable energy". The focus is on whether countries should cut down on/ increase nuclear energy production considering the possible effects on the environment and the Chernobyl and Fukushima power plant disasters. I need some information on why nuclear power would be better than for example wind power or solar power for an LEDC. Can somebody tell me how it could lead to a better economy, if it's more affordable, better for the environment or any other essential points. Links to websites will also be great.

Is it solved like a normal equation. Or does the 'less or equal to' change the working out method?

I need to write an essay on how Tybalt's and Romeo's lines in the play "Romeo and Juliet" portray their personalities and attitudes. For example, with Tybalt I already have "Fetch me my rapier, boy", showing that he is short tempered and petulant. Any short quotes from Romeo?
