1 AnswerComputer Networking4 years agoDoes an internship or a job look better on a resume?
I started as an intern at a software company 9 months ago. About 3 months ago I graduated and the internship technically became a part time job. I am looking for a full time position else where, but I am not sure if I should list my current job as an internship or a job.
I think it would look bad if I listed it as a job but left after only 9 months. Seems like that would be OK if I listed it as an internship though.
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment4 years agoWill my mom get in trouble if I dispute a debt in collections?
My mom opened a capitol one credit card in my name without telling me, spent the $400 and never paid it back. It's in collections now. If I dispute the debt is there a chance it could lead back to her and get her in legal trouble? She screwed me over I know, but I do not want her to get in trouble...

3 AnswersProgramming & Design7 years agojava, calculate standard deviation?
here's my method:
private double calculateStandardDeviation(){
double mean = calculateMean();
double totalOfSquaredDifferences = 0;
for(Employee employee: employeeList){
totalOfSquaredDifferences += Math.pow(mean - (employee.getHoursWorked() * employee.getRate()), 2);
}
double variance = totalOfSquaredDifferences / employeeList.size();
return Math.sqrt(variance);
}
but im getting the wrong answer and can't spot a logic error

2 AnswersProgramming & Design7 years agohelp with physics question!?
In 50 Billion years, the Earth Moon system will be tidally locked with an orbital period of t final = 47 days, compared to the orbital period today of t initial = 27 days. Given that the mass of the Earth is 80 times that of the moon, how far apart in terms of their current distance d initial =384,400km will the earth and moon be at that time? (Symbolic answers only, ie d final = f(d initial, t final, m earth, m moon)
i dont even know where to start

3 AnswersPhysics7 years agoconservation of energy physics question?
A factory worker accidentally releases a crate of mass m that was being held at rest at the top of a ramp with length d which is inclined at angle θ to the horizontal. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the crate and the ramp, and between the crate and the horizontal factory floor, is μk. (use g where applicable). (Use any variable or symbol stated above along with the following as necessary: g for the acceleration of gravity.)
how i thought to get the answer:
total energy at the top of the ramp = U (potential energy) = mgh
and total energy at the bottom of the ramp =
K (kinetic energy) - work done by friction = 1/2 * m * v^2 - mu * m * g * d * cos(theta)
so conservation of energy says energy at the top must equal energy at the bottom thus:
mgh = 1/2 mv^2 - mu *mgdcos(theta)
solving for v i get:
sqrt(2*g*d*(sin(theta) + mu * cos(theta)))
by the way i subbed d*sin(theta) for h, as im not allowed to use h
where did i go wrong???
1 AnswerPhysics7 years agokinetic friction problem?
a kid slides down a 43 degree (from the horizontal) hill with an acceleration of .45 m/s^2 in the opposite direction of motion. what is the coefficient of kinetic friction?
i take it to mean that the frictional force is .45 so:
frictional force = mu * normal force
so mu = frictional force / normal force
and mu = .45 / mgcos(43 degrees)
i may have the normal force wrong im not sure, also mass was not given
help!
