Today a guy backed into my car and hit my front bumper. The bumper obviously needs to be replaced and the car is completely ok. I'm 20 years old (never hit or been hit so im a novice at this) and i own the car. He did have insurance. Now my question is can i go through the claim process, get an estimate from an autobody shop and then collect from his insurance without getting my car repaired by the autobody shop? I just don't feel like getting it fixed yet but will soon. Thanks!

Can't figure this one out. I'm sure it's pretty simple. I was thinking that you minus the liabilities from the assets to = the net asset then taking the net assets and minus that from the purchase price. The correct answer is $140,000 but i have no idea how they got that. I could make that work with the numbers but it doesn't make sense to me. I put a red box around the info. plz explain.

i have an intel based macbook pro and was wondering if there are any Applications that allow you to control when external/internal hard drives spin. I replaced the boot drive on the mbp with an SSD and the disc drive is taken up by a normal 5400rpm HDD. I only use that other drive for movies and nothing else. So when it spins and i'm using the web browser its a waste of battery. Any programs to control when it spins? i know there is an option in energy preferences but it is a very weak setting. And i know there is CHUD but that is for Power PC based macs. Any help would be awesome!

Can I go and do what I want and get covered by insurance without my parents being able to do anything? (Not trying to sound like a rebellious teenager)

I have an intel core i5 2500k and i have been having some problems lately with bluescreens after resume from standby. Also i've been having overclocking issues. So i was looking at the specs of the i5 i have and it say that it only supports 1060 and 1333 memory types. I'm pretty sure that i have a 1600 memory type. Do you think this could be causing my problems or em i fine?

Im pretty experienced with car audio and installations but im stumped on this one. I have had many head units in my car two of which are kenwoods. The second kenwood is in my car currently. When I have ny Ipod plugged in via usb and the headlights turn on the Ipod disconnects. I have to totally unplug the Ipod and plug it back in which gets extremely annoying after a while. Aux works flawlessly. It started after I installed hid headlights and fogs so obviously it has to do with those. So my question is what should i do? I have the headunit grounded to the body and not to the ground harness. I have a 2003 chevy s10 the headunit is a dpx30bu. I was also wonder if maybe a interference filter might help but idk.
