Hi, I'm Matt. I am a born again bible believing baptist in training to be a missionary/church planter/evangelist. I enjoy poetry, soul winning, and answering people's questions to the best of my ability. The best thing that ever happened to me was that I recieved Christ as my savior. The second best thing was that God used me to win others. If you have any doubt about your knowledge of the Bible's perscription for eternal life, please contact me and I will show you, from the BIBLE (not baptist literature, not right winged fundamentalist doctrine, but the BIBLE) how you can KNOW FOR SURE that you have eternal life. God bless

  • Are you a Fundamental believer?

    Why or why not?

  • Can you relate to this one?

I sent a Merry Christmas your way

Just to show myself a friend

I didn't know it would hurt you so

    To hear from me again

I thought by now it would be okay

I guess that was not true

I figured I could make you smile

I didin't mean to bring hurt to you

I guess we'll never be okay

    I guess you'll never heal

I know that it is all my fault

That you feel the way you feel

I hope that Rachel and her man Tom

Will make it to their wedding day

I'm sorry that I bothered you

    Merry Christmas anyway

Bring Back the Days of my Youth Oh Jehova

    By Matt Perkins

Bring back the days of my youth, Oh Jehova

The faith as a child I carried

Bring back the preaching and soul stirring songs

Conviction I felt as thou tarried

Bring back the joy that only thou giveth

The peace that cometh only from thee

Bring back the bliss from thy holy kiss

Thy grace so rich and free

Bring back the joy of a 5 year-old boy

Who suddenly learned of his sin

He called your name and then he cought the flame

His soul was cleansed from within

Bring back the song of an 8 year-old child

Who went down into the water

He came up to walk in the newness of life

As the devils all began to shudder

Bring back the spirit he had at 14

As revival he felt for the first time

Filled with the spirit he cried at 16

'I want to serve you full time!'

Forgive me my father for falling away

For coming short of my comitment

Revive me again and give me thy wisdom

So that you may find fofillment

Give me a heart that aches for the lost

A passion for souls that are parishing

Send me out to the highways and hedges

To shew them the grace they are missing

May I let my light so shine

As a city upon a hill

May I be a beacon and salt to the earth

    Obeying thy blessed will

May thy word ring as thy praises we sing

    To every far distant shore

May revival there be and may it start with me

Thy salvation abound more and more!

Convict men of sin and bring them within

Save their wives and their mothers

May every soul submit to thy control

    Increase my sisters and brothers

I wish once again to surrender my life,

My soul, my body, my all

Lord hear my voice in my present distress

Help me to answer the call

    (Selah)

Bring back the days of my youth, Oh Jehova

The faith as a child I carried

Bring back the preaching and soul stirring songs

Conviction I felt as thou tarried

  • How will many Christians feel when?

they realize that even the little white lies put Jesus on the cross and that they were no better than Hitler in that they sent Jesus to die on the cross because of their sin? Or even worse, when they have to answer for every soul they didn't warn about hell that could have been saved if they had taken the time to share the gospel?

  • Christians, why do so many of our brethren believe we need to make America a Christian nation?

When the Puritans wanted to do this, they banished, starved, and even killed Baptists and Quakers. It was when Williams and Clark started Providence and made religious freedom a reality that God's blessing really began to show. If we take away religious liberty, we give the government the freedom to define the church. If we maintain a freedom of conscience/religion, then the Holy Ghost has the freedom to move and may the true God win. You cannot legally force anyone to believe what they don't choose to. Forcing the nation to embrace Christianity will not bring about more Christians and it will severely limit the way Christians operate. Keep in mind, separation of church and state is a Biblical concept. This nation was founded on Baptist principles, and the Augustinian Reconstructionists are trying to take away our liberty by slowly becoming a church state... so why do we want to define America as a Christian nation again?

  • Lyrics for this Christian song?

The Chorus goes "Hold on through the dark times, hold on though the night seems too long. My Grace is sufficient for thee. He can take your life and mold it into something new. He took nothing and made something out of my life." I believe it was recorded by the hooker girls

  • Number of cells basis for what defines murder?

In a previous question, someone mentioned that abortion was not murder (or at least not as significant as an adult man) on the basis that many aborted babies have less cells then a flies eye (although I didn't see a source to back this up). Does that mean that if a newborn has less cells than I that thier life is less precious than mine?
