Identify this spider?
I found a spider that I've never seen before in my house, and I'm curious to find out exactly what it is. So, that's my question, can you help me identify it? (picture up shortly)
5 AnswersZoology1 decade agoInternet Explorer 8 does not work, but I am connected to the internet?
Okay, so I just installed a windows update, updating to the newest version of internet explorer. Now, for some reason, no browser will connect to the internet. I've downloaded Firefox too, but that has the same problems. Now, everything else (Yahoo messenger, Myspace IM, things like that) connects just fine, so I know it's not a problem with my connection. Windows Firewall is turned off, I've reset internet explorer, I have no other firewalls running, and I'm running the newest version of Avast anti-virus. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
2 AnswersOther - Internet1 decade agoCan you set a Zune to act as an external hard drive?
My girlfriend just gave me a 30G Zune, but the LCD screen is cracked, so I can't see what I'm doing. So, I was wondering, is there any way that I can set it to act as an external hard drive? Or, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can clear up the LCD screen even a little?
3 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoChristians, when you're "talking to God"...?
This is a serious question. I'm not attacking anyone, I'm just curious. Do you actually hear him answer? Does he answer at all? Is it some kind of mental communication? If it is, how can you tell the difference between your own thoughts and god's "voice"?
Atheists: I know god doesn't exist. This is just something I've always wondered.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoName of this country song?
I heard it a about 6 months ago, so I don't really remember a lot about it. I know that one of the lines in the song is "like a bird I sing" or something close to that. Sorry I can't give a little more info. It's driving me crazy. Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersCountry1 decade agousing the logic found I found in a recent question, shouldn't we have Atheanimals?
Someone asked if animals that bow down to eat are actually bowing down to God. So I figure that means that animals like Elephants and Girrafes are Atheist animals. What is your favorite Atheanimal?

"Sick"
Jesus Christ, It’s finally happened.
I’ve lost the battle, and it cost me the war.
All the needles, bottles and pipes are lying, useless.
I’ve got one bullet left, and I’m not aiming for the enemy.
Jesus Christ, I can’t run from this one.
I’m not frightened of my grave , but I know I can't look Saint Peter in the eye
And tell him that I belong in Heaven.
And Jesus Christ, how can I get by without this?
The first time the hole was torn
A white horse carried me away
I thought I found God.
Please, pull me through this one more time.
I can’t leave this world with so much left undone...
I'm just a ****ed up, burnt out psychotic breakdown,
An amazing disgrace, face down and hell-bound
And Mother Mary's not around
To pick me up again...

Yesterday evening, the greatest comedian of our day, George Carlin, died. He was an inspiration all of us bitter, anti-social Atheists.
Rest in peace, George.

19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCreationists, I'm curious. Can you find any way to get around this?
Personally, I think it pretty much closes the book on the subject. 10 points to anyone who can come up with an answer that disproves anything in this video [that's not completely ridiculous.] I'm perfectly willing to accept religious answers, but do your best to make them at least resemble a coherent thought.

3 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoRate this poem for me? Verse of a Bound Vagabond...?
I posted this once before and got some pretty good feedback. this is the edited version. Please rate on a scale of 1-10. Thanks in advance.
"Verse of a Bound Vagabond"
I heard her call again late last night
Begging me, pulling me
To come back
Though I’ve never been.
The Eden I fell in love with
As a boy, much too young
To find a reason
For the tears the mountains bring to my eyes.
And she whispered, soft,
Of lucid skies, unwaning
In their deep blue serenity,
And of roads my bootheels have yet to touch.
She sang to me, a song
too sweet for words,
Of infinite harmonic beauty
That would bring God himself to his knees.
I’ll come to her some day,
On roads of dust and stone, a-winding
Like English Ivy towards her
Just as the many drawn by her song did before me
Colorado, I’ll come home.
5 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoCritique on this poem? It's kind of short, but still...?
"A Morning Daydream"
The familiar smells of coffee and tobacco fill me
As morning's pale fingers tune the room into life
With it's many shades of impossible, harmonic color.
The house is still muted with sleep
Resonating the sounds of a simple life.
And as my guitar plucks out the sharps and flats of the morning
I know this must be as close to heaven as I'll ever be.
Any suggestions?
6 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoComments on this poem-like writing?
I have manic depression, and this is a poem I wrote about it. I wrote it to kind of give the reader an idea of what my thought processes are like. When reading it, keep in mind that not only is this a rough draft, it's not enirely complete. Also, the fact that it jumps around alot was intentional.
"One Million Miles an Hour"
I ****ing hate you, 'cause you're my friends.
I miss you so much, so just stay away.
Shut the door, don't come in, I'm not my self right now...
I'm so damned ugly, please, don't look at me, I'm begging you, just.. hold me...
One more Citralopram savior, 'cause in awhile I have to act like a real man again.
Life is great, so great I wish it would all just go away.
I'm out of reasons to trust in me, but that's okay.
Tomorrow, today will be yesterday...
I had such a great time today, wish I had just stayed home.
If people talked, then let them talk. Please, god, I hope they don't talk...
