2 AnswersComedy1 decade agovet dental question, did they charge me too much?
My cat needed dental surgery (his gums were sore and oozing). I was told about 5 months ago that he needed to have teeth extracted, so I scheduled a surgery. They did not perform the surgery they promised and instead just cleaned his teeth (they still charged me $360). Here it is 5 months later and they told he still needed the surgery (after being on expensive meds because the problem did not go away). I just brought him home and they charged me 800 dollars after pulling most of his teeth (he only has 4 left). Was this ethical of them? Would I be right in demanding a partial refund (because I feel like I've paid for this surgery twice)?

12 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoAnxiety Disorder question?
When I went to a therapist to treat my depression and anxiety disorder (general and social phobia) she told me I had a fractured personality ( but not MPD). She told me there were some inconsistentcies in my behavior and thoughts probably due to my anxiety. I guess I'm looking for a more thorough explanation, everywhere I look on the internet, "fractured personality" always shows up with sites related to Multiple personality disorder. I would like to know how I can deal with this without medication and without therapy (if it's possible). Thanks
1 AnswerMental Health1 decade agoPatellar subluxation?
What are the best exercises to help patellar subluxation? Whenever I'm on my feet for too long I feel this pain like someone is taking their fingers and jabbing them into the side of my knee; it's very painful and sometimes feels like my knee is collapsing. How can I strengthen the surrounding muscles so this doesn't happen. I have braces that I wear for both knees, however sometimes I still feel the pain.
3 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoHow do you deal with social anxiety disorder?
I have social anxiety disorder; I was diagnosed about 3 years ago. I have tried medication and therapy, but I don't like how the medication makes me feel and I would like to find an alternative to therapy. How do you combat negative thoughts and face your fears in social situations? One negative thought in particular I am having difficulty with is the constant fear that my boyfriend is cheating on me. How do I get rid of this?

How much does it usually cost to replace the inner tube on a bicycle wheel? I think I punctured it when I was trying to inflate the wheel and the valve stem was pushed into the tire.

1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoWas Pat Robertson dropped on his head as a child?
Why are people like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell allowed to even talk? Come on...do they really believe that 9/11 was caused by gay people, feminists and Jewish people? Do these two men get together and just sit around eating paint chips and huffing glue? Why do we tip toe around the issue of religion and let people say whatever they want even if it is extremely offensive and invokes anger? I understand that the freedom of speech and religion are extremely important but some people take it too far. Why are they protected when all they do is spread hate? (It's the same as the KKK- why are they allowed to exist? They are mean, hateful, offensive, and idiotic people yet they are protected by a loophole in the system?)
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoDo people not understand how a restaurant works?
I work in a restaurant. I was a server, but after I got tendonitis in my wrists I became a host. There is a sign right at the door that says please wait to be seated and we greet the guests at the door. Yet there are people that feel they don't need to respond to me even when I ask how they are. They walk right past me and sit themselves at a four top when there is only two of them or sometimes just one! Why do they feel like they need a huge table. I just don't get it! It seems kind of selfish. I willing to bend a little, for ex. in the morning when it's not busy or for people with disabilities etc. But when it's 11:45 and we're getting ready for the lunch rush don't lead me around the restaurant and demand a huge table. It's my job to seat you and not the other way around. I've people actually leave because I wouldn't give them the only four top left and I had a line at the door. Could someone please explain this to me? I just don't understand how people can be so rude and demanding.
