What are the penalties for terminating an apartment lease early?
I live in Ontario, and need to terminate my lease before the one-year period is up. Is there anything I can do to avoid paying the remainder of the rent?
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate8 years agoReccomendations for a good Visual Basic 2008 book?
I am trying to get into computer programming, and I have seen many tutorials that give you lines of code and exercises. What I'm looking for is something that gives you these examples, but also provides the reader with explanations of the underlying syntax and "grammar" of code.
I have looked at many reviews for books such as Visual Basic 2008 For Dummies, Simply Visual Basic 2008, and Visual Basic 2008: How To Program, but these books were apparently either too confusing/choppy or too vague. Help please! :)

1 AnswerProgramming & Design10 years agoHow do you defragment a networked volume?
I am sitting at the host computer for my networked files. It's a virtual drive (?) that exists on this computer's internal hard drive. When I go to Disk Defragmenter (I'm running Windows XP, by the way) only volume :C is available to defrag, along with a removable disk which is of no use to me.
Help would be much appreciated! :)
1 AnswerOther - Computers10 years agoHow do you transfer photos onto perspex?
Perspex is a type of Plexiglas, I believe. I know you need a heat press, but that's about all I know. If you're able to fill in some details, it would be much appreciated!
Thank you

I want to print a photo, say, 16 x 20, but I want to do a proof of a section of the image the EXACT size it would print as a 16x20.
Does anyone know how to do this?

1 AnswerXbox1 decade agoShow me proof of a god?
Religious people have no proof of one or many gods, yet as an argument FOR god, they want the non-believers to disprove there is a god.
In theory, you cannot disprove anything, only prove it.
Therefore, as rational beings (or so they wish themselves to be known), it is up to the believers to prove to everyone else that their god exists. Until then, we should not be expected to believe anything.
Believing in something solely on faith, without proof, is illogical.
Agree or disagree?

3 AnswersCanada1 decade agoDo I still have the right to child support?
(Ontario) I'm 17 years old and living at a youth shelter. My mom is supposed to be getting child support from my dad, but since I'm not living at home, she's pocketing it and making a profit, while I have no money to live on. She says that since she does not have control over me (she kicked me out), I am not her responsibility, even though she has full custody of me (ie. I'm not emancipated). What course of action should I take?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoIn Canada, can you get charged for breaking in to your own house?
My mom will not give me a house key and I'm 17 years old. Since I'm usually always out, I get locked out frequently, sometimes even overnight. Is there some sort of law that would allow me to get a copy of the key? Also, is there a law that have me arrested for breaking into my own house should my mom or neighbours call the police?
