Religion gives you an imaginary wound. It supplies you an imaginary bandage. you are addicted to that bandage in such a way that you will forfeit your freedom to think for yourself.

lightning is not caused because god is mad at you for touching yourself. Instead it is due to the collision of liquid and ice particles above the freezing level. They build up large electrical fields in the clouds. Then lightning reduces the charge separation.

faith is belief without evidence.

science is all about evidence. I fallow scientific evidence. where is the faith in that?

I was thinking of a way (theoretical) to reduce the numbers of theists around. I was thinking that maybe if churches were outlawed then it would be harder to reinforce hypocritical dogma with multi million dollar facilities.

All I am proposing is to get rid of formal churches so it would be harder to reinforce religion. Would this work?

I say Jesus is a fictional character made up of various popular ideas. My mom (agnostic) says that he was a real historical figure except without the magic. She also says that there is a lot of archeological evidence for Non-magical brown Jesus.

Surely agnostics don't believe that there is even the possibility of a omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent cosmic creator.

why is it moral for your god?

the fact that Christians think that they will be sitting around in heaven, at the same time as everyone else burns and suffers in hell. tells you all you need to know about even the most tolerant theists.

shouldn't all Christians have the same understanding of god if god is constant. Or are they just making stuff up to suit themselves and their own interpretation of god?
