I have to write an eight page paper for an enviromental change project. My pick is to shorten showering time to conserve water. I need some input on a couple of the prompt questions. . . .I am using Mill and consequential ethics to support this change if it matters.

1) What are cultural or philosophical barriers to other adopting the habit of taking shorter showers? What sort of world views would offer resistance to it?

2) How could that resistance be combated? Should these changes be market driven? Regulatory?

What ethical philosophy could be used to support a reduction in shower time to save water (money and energy)?

Lately I have been really bothered by the two fine lines on my forehead and the fine lines beneath my eyes.

I know there a multiple products that will cause those areas to "swell" to temporarly improve appearance but I want to fix the problem. Does any know of a good product that works? Any personal reviews?

I don't have a preference in brand (professional, prestige, drugstore) or price, just want something that will work.

For about three maybe four days now I have had pain in my legs (my entire leg down to the bottom of my feet). Its an aching pain that gets worse after standing/walking. I haven't done anything that would cause this pain (no injuries, exercise, etc). If I sit for awhile the pain gets better. Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and if there is anything I can do to help relieve the pain besides pills (especially when sitting isn't an option like at work).

Tuesday morning I woke up with a cramp like feeling (nothing horrible) on my right side slightly below my rib cage. In about an hour to an hour & a halfs time this escaladed into excrusiating pain. It continued to get worse until I started to feel dizzy, sweaty/clammy and "out of it". (I never had a fever). I had two blood tests both came back normal (including my white blood cells count). Two ultrasounds were performed - showing a possible ruptured ovarian cyst and/or kidney stone. I had two or three urine tests that showed small amounts of blood but everything else was okay. I was sent home from the hospital with pain medication and the possiblity of three issues; kidney stone, ruptured ovarian cyst and a very very small chance of an appendicitis.

Wednesday I felt slightly better but I had to stay on top of my medication or I got worse. My appetite was okay. I had no problem eat/wanting to eat but I wasn't eating quite as much as normal. In the eveing I got that warm/clammy dizzy feeling but after laying down and taking pain meds I was okay about an hour later.

Thursday I returned to the emergency room because although I felt a little better I still wasn't completely better and without a diagnoises that made me nervous. I once again had a blood and urine test done which both came back normal. Abdominal x-rays were taken and showed nothing out of the ordinary. (The doctor did mention that she could see that I may benefit from "using the restroom" and had me drink something to help that process.) Friday that drink kicked in and I cleaned myself. However friday night the pain in my side came back and I had to take more pain meds. I woke up around 3:30am with a gassy stomach. I don't know if that is a side effect from the drink or not but I was uncomfortable for a little bit.

Now its saturday and so far my pain hasnt been there. I did try to catch up with some cleaning & washing I didn't have a problem but shortly afterwards I didn't have a little pain in my side. I haven't taken any meds and don't think I will.

My little sister is starting kindergarten in a couple weeks and I really want to get her a little something special. We are fifteen years apart (i'm fifteen years older than her) so its not the "typical" sister relationship. I just want to do something special for her and have that memory with her.

I was thinking of a keychain possibly. . not really sure what kind or what but I thought it would be a nice little something she could put on her backpack & carry with her. I am open to ANY ideas!! Please!!

How do you tell which score corresponds to a higher relative position? I understand how to calculate the z-score but I'm not sure how to compare them. Is the higher score better or do you use the range for z scores?

How to you find the probability when the question says "is it unusual to get 9 when pair of dice is rolled"? I know what is usual and unusual just don't know how to calculate the probability.

So tired of my oily skin. I put my make up on just to have it grease off a couple hours later. ANNOYING!

I currently use Dermalogica (special cleansing gel, Active moist moisterizer & skin prep scrub). I actually love all my products but its their prices tags that dont agree with my wallet. They have all lasted me since christmas but now they are starting to run out & im worried I wont have the cash to replace them.

Ive heard good things about Mario Badescu and thought I might give it a try. I have oily skin with occasional break outs.

What are others experiences with the line?

Have you used the acne line or oily skin line?

I currently use Dermalogica special cleansing gel. (its made of natural stuff, doesnt have acne stuff in it & cleans well) Does anyone know of a similar cleanser that is another good profession brand?? Something cheaper?? Dont reall want a drugstore brand but open to suggestions.

I spend $48 on a large bottle that lasts three to four months but still I spent $50 on face soap. I could do a lot more with that money.

Anyone know of other options??

Working on the counting section of the probabilty chapter. Ive gotten through a few practice problems but some just make me confused.

For both problems I tried nCr & nPr but neither gave the same result as the back of the book. What am I doing wrong? If neither formula works (nCr & nPr) then what do I do? Any tips on knowing which one to use? Any tips on knowning which vaule is "n" & which value is "r"? (ive just been going with whatever FEELS best but I should probably use a more solid method)

A little over a week ago (like nine days) I finished by cycle. (It started April 30 lasted till like May 6)

But a little bit ago when I went to take a shower I found a "suprise". Its kinda waterdowned I guess is the best way to describe it and not a heavy flow.

Its concerning me though. Is it possible to have two menstrual cycles???

I am currently on the sections of 'Measure of variation'. So far I think I am understand how to do the actual calculations of the different things. (standard devaitions, variance, etc) However what I am having a hard time understanding is what all that stuff means. I think I would have an easier time getting it if the darn textbook would just speak english.

Once I have calculated the *standard devation* for a sample of values what does that number mean? Why did I just have to do all the math? And same with *coefficient of variation*??

Can anyone explain Chebyshev's Theorem?? My text book definition has fractions with letter and uses a big curseve K. . no idea.

I am currently doing Elementary statistics through home schooling so I apprecaite any help I can get with my worst subject.

Everything I have found so far is super expensive and I dont really want to take an online course anyway. So I am starting to looking into getting my first car and am really just lost in the whole process. Hoping somebody here could help answer my questions. . .Thanks in advance! =]

1) I initally only wanted to spending two or three thousand on a car but once I started looking into what exactly that would get me I decided to expand that amount to about six thousand. My main reason for wanting to keep the amount so low is because I dont want to work just to have a car. . .meaning I dont want my entire pay check to be handed over to the car guy cause then I wouldnt have money to do anything else and having a car would be pointless. I want to payments to be like $300 a month. So my question is if I want a $300 (or less) a month payment how much would I have to put down on a +/- $6000 car?

Also I was told before my a used car saleman that I would have to be at my job for a year and a half before I could get a car. I am currently a retail cashier and in april will have been there a year. However in June I will be done with my phlebotomy program and plan on getting a job working with that asap. Do I have to wait a year and a half just because of my job title (retail cashier) so that having a better job (plebotomist) I dont have to wait a certain amount of time??? Or is switching jobs just before that year and a half mark as retail cashier going to mess me up??? Or was that guy just lying to me???

What does a "co-signer" do??? Does that somehow benefit me or is that like a safety guard for the dealership?? And what determines having a "co-signer"??

And are there any requirements that I have to met to qualify for a car such as credit or so much in the bank, etc???

I am nineteen years old and have a part time job. I have been with this job since April of 2009 year-to-date ive made about five thousand dollars. Since I was born my mother has claimed me as a dependent on her income taxes and as far as I know she still does (as of last year).

So my question is when do *I* have to fill income taxes??

If my mom still claims me do I not have to worry about it?

I got a new iTouch for christmas and I immedately hooked up it like an hour after I opened it. However now that I have the iTouch I wanted to set up my old iPod (30GB video iPod) up for my little sister. I downloaded all of her music to iTunes but when I went to plug it into my computer to 'sync' it and add the music on there it frozen iTunes for a couple of mintes and then a pop up said that the iPod was corrupted and could be synced.
