I just got an 8 month-old chocolate Lab. She's beautiful, but she goes a little nuts around other dogs. She pulls and jumps. (No barking) but she's very strong.

I have tried to stop her at a good distance and make her sit. She's young and she's not good at "sit" and she's jumpy, so sometimes it takes a few tries. After a minute or two, if the other dog hasn't moved on, I try to get out of there, moving at a normal steady pace.

A stranger in the park said this was not a good method. That I needed to wait until we were way from the other dog before I tried to redirect her. But if I do that, how will she know what behavior I'm trying to change?

I've only had her for a week, but sometimes I think it's working. Other times, not so much. I don't know if it's distance, or the other dog's gender or size, or just luck. Will she get it if I keep it up the way I'm going or does someone have a better idea?

Blowing on a campfire makes it bigger. A wind on a first fire makes it bigger. But a candle goes out.

A fire needs air, fuel and heat. Putting water on it removes the heat and the air. Blowing doesn't remove great, does it? And it supplies air. So what makes the flame go out?

Not the password for email or something, but for the computer itself. You know, it comes on when you boot up, or when you hit contrl-alt-delete. I can't turn it off because I won't be able to get in when I turn it back on again. There has to be a work-around...

I have Sims 2 "Open for Business" but I can't seem to start a business in a shop.

I buy the shop.

I use the phone to register the business.

I buy a cash register.

I use the cash register to set prices for the merchandise.

I buy a "Open" sign for the shop.

I turn the sign to be "open."

No customers come.

What am I missing?

My neice is severely dyslexic. I understand there are websites where you can get a book read aloud to you, one chapter at a time. This would really help if she could listen as she reads. Can someone tell me where to find this site?
