“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

I am a Christian, and I DO understand why Ghandi said this. I believe that we are to be a shining beacon, the salt of the Earth. We are to put ALL OTHERS above us. But many use their Christianity as a shield to get/say what they want.

How can you, as a Christian, plan to make others LIKE our religion?

Is it to have a good time? Because there is so much more to life than a good time. Is it to become rich/famous? Because wealth and fame are fleeting. Is it to do good? To make the world a better place? How are you doing it?

We spend so much time on things that we forget that we are here to glorify God. Even churches make this mistake. They focus on something, for example, a new building, only to become "self-satisfied" or fearful of letting other groups use the building. If this happens, then the people have lost sight of the buildings purpose, to lead others to God.

So, what is YOUR purpose?
