I am too lazy to turn on/off motion detection/emailing alerts when I come/go, but when I leave I always take my phone with me. It drops off the home network when I leave.

Is there a multi camera network based pc software system that can arm/disarm motion detection alerts based on presence of my smart phone on home router wifi?

It is easy to set up a webcam and motion detection as a home security system sending alert emails. However, such a system would be easily defeated by intruder clipping the internet connection before tripping motion detection.

Is there any software that could run on a remote server or phone (without killing battery) that would continually poll the home computer for internet connectivity and alert user via email or text message that the security system's internet connection is off/down/disconnected?

Hardening the wires to my house is not an option. Using a wireless cell account is not an option. Monitoring the incoming wires with a camera is not an option. Please only answer if you understand the question.
