Is Monckton cabable of telling the same story twice?
Lord Monckton is often referenced by deniers as a source of reliable Information yet here he is shown to constantly change (in his own words) his views on multiple theories he has put forward over the years.
7 AnswersGlobal Warming9 years agoWhat is happening to questions?
I posted a question yesterday and it simply did not appear, one guy who is in my contacts list answered it as he tells me it appeared in his activity list for me, but it never appeared on the main page.
There was a link in the question, and I have seen others here say that putting links in did strange things to their questions.
I just tried again this time I left the link out and post short text, waited till the question appeared and then tried to add the link (which was to an old question here) as soon as I did this the question disappeared, it still appears as a question I have asked but it seems nobody but my contacts can.
Is this some sort of bug in answers, I would ask them but they provide no help link or email option to contact them. Answers seems to have had quite a few bugs like this lately and it seems they are doing little fix them.

This lead denier of the past used to be top answer here, till his account was pulled

For those blocked by this user, which was most who challenged his rather poor understanding of science it states this

Are Believers Disappointed that Temperatures are Cooling and the Polar Ice Caps Gaining Mass?
Graphical data from government sources show that the polar ice caps are just under levels considered normal. The current levels are more than they were in the last 3 years. In October, the Arctic Ice mass experienced the fastest level of growth on record.
While there is still work to do, this is clearly great news, yet many believers just dismiss the gains as propaganda and say the ice is still melting.
Is this an example of how they selectively choose the data that supports their theory, while diminishing data that shows they may be wrong?
Is it because the believers just don't understand the concept of science?
-----------------------------
Since he posted this rubbish the Arctic has continued to shrink the Antarctic and Greenland show further signs of glacial ice loss and 2010 was the warmest year on record, that cooling thing just does not seem to be working out for deniers.
1 AnswerGlobal Warming1 decade agoIs this another fine example of denier facts?
This question was asked just one hour ago with incorrect Information as to the comparison of 2010 to 1998, it put NOAA as saying 1998 was 0.02F warmer than 2010, but provide no link for the statement.
It turns out that this is not what NOAA said at all they have 2010 as the warmest year tied with 2005 and 1998 has dropped to third by 0.02c, which is 0.04F.
Pretty obvious why this question was shut down so quickly.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuHnU...
What NOAA actually say http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/2010/13#gtemp
1998 is not 1st it is now 3rd on their listing which is quite different to what the question was trying to state, I really have to wonder why denier ask why we don't believe them when they put up false Information like this and then close the question quickly in the hopes few will see it.
To add to that the best answer repeats the old denier lie of how warm the 1930ies were when any check of the temperature record shows in global terms the 1930ies are well below any temps set in quite a few decades, even many denial groups have now accepted this and have stopped using this statement, the honest ones anyway.
8 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoWhy did no video ever surface of the Mockckton Oxford debate?
All his other staged debates seem to have gone to youtube very quickly but not this one
The only debate Mockckton has had against anyone credible is the one against Tim Lambert and Mockckton was the obvious loser of that encounter.
Does this explain why he has released no video of the Oxford debate, and just keeps saying I won I won.
5 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoWhy have climate fictionists gone so quite on the Solar Minimum?
Last year they were predicting ice ages and Maunder Minimums yet they seem to have moved on to new theories and forgotten this one. It seemed they were constantly asking questions on any day that show a zero count for Sunspots.
8 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoDoes anyone know what "dim Earth paradox" is?
It was mentioned by a denier in this question
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApClf...
I've never heard of this, Google returned just one hit, the above question were it was used.
So is this just another denier making things up or is it something real.
P.S. I have heard of faint young sun paradox a search for that in Google returns 240,000 hits
9 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoWith the sunspot low now over will silly talk of us going into a Maunder Minimum also end?
Daily sunspot numbers are now regularly hitting the 20-30's and denier talk about sunspot numbers has gone very quite, what will their next theory be.
4 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoIs Anthony Watts serious with this post?
The suggestion being that back in the 50s the North Pole was ice free.
12 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoHow is that Arctic ice mass going?
A month ago and then again two weeks ago the question was put that we were seeing the start of increased ice has this continued or was it even there to start with.
5 AnswersClimate Change1 decade agoHas the Arctic Ice Mass continued Growing at Fastest Rate Ever.?
This question was asked last week
http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aq...
Halfway to the two weeks suggested in that question has the prediction by Dr Jello come even close to being correct, No.
The mean line is still at the mid-point between the average and the 2007 record low, so much for that theory!
10 AnswersClimate Change1 decade agoWhat is the percetage of co2 in the Earths atmosphere?
My understanding was that it was 0.038% but the answer to this question suggests it is 0.00038
6 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoHow long will deniers keep up this rubbish about new cooling!?
Given that only normal sea ice has returned to the Arctic and this will melt quickly in summer and the straight out lies I have seen posted about 'global cooling' when a number of southern hemisphere locations are having heat waves.
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/12/07123...
I should point out that I work in the climate science so if you are going to use the BS theories from heartland.org try to post supporting links that are not just blogs, as I'm yet to see any that can do this!
