Would you be upset if your husband just e-mailed you a groupon for your birthday present?
I am a little upset, but I don't know if I am overreacting. It is kind of a big "milestone" birthday, too.
5 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoHow long did you/ do you plan to rear-face your child's carseat?
I know it is recommended to do 2 years minimum, and then as long as possible after that, but how long do you think is a reasonable goal? 2.5 years? 3 years? 4 years? Just planning ahead so I can purchase the right car seat. I have a small car and a small budget, so that makes ERF harder. I also have a tiny kiddo, growing around the 20th percentile for height and weight. I hit 40 pounds in first grade, so I bet she will be similar.
4 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoWhat is the cheapest convertible car-seat with built-in lock-offs for easy seat-belt installation?
Hubby has a 1996 Honda Accord, and we are looking for an inexpensive seat that fits the bill. A no-re-thread harness would be awesome too.
3 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting8 years agoJust how expensive are youth sports now?
I just had my first baby, and I want to be able to give her opportunities like playing sports. How much am I in for? Like for a youth soccer league? My local league doesn't post the info on their website.
1 AnswerOther - Sports8 years agoAre 500 extra calories really needed while breastfeeding? I'm 15 pounds over my pre pregnancy weight?
I'm 15 pounds heavier, and not losing weight. I am nursing a 2 month old. I was 5 ft 2, 110 pounds. Now, I am 125 pounds.
8 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoIs a used pack n play dangerous to use as a child's only crib?
My brother/ sister in-laws offered to let us borrow their pack n play that they used as a crib. We live in a one bedroom apartment, so this would be our baby's only sleeping space until our lease ends, when our baby is one year and three months. They purchased it off of craigslist, and it worries me that I don't know how many times it has cycled through craigslist, and that there may be mold on it, or the mechanisms may not hold up to multiple children and collapse.
Am I just being a nervous mom? We can afford a new pack n play, we were just looking to safe money. We don't really have the space for a full-size crib.
2 AnswersParenting8 years agoOnly children- Do you wish you had a sibling?
I have one child, and I feel that she may be our only child, but I worry she will feel resentful for not having a sibling.
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoDoes anyone else find that breastfeeding makes it HARDER to lose weight?
I hear so much that breastfeeding just melts the pounds away. I really don't find this to be the case, as I have been stuck at 15 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight for a few months now, despite a healthy diet and regular exercise. I have hypothyroidism, but it is well-managed with my medication, and monitored regularly by my endocrinologist.
Anyone else find that breastfeeding doesn't just melt the fat away?
18 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoWhich program has shorter workouts, Insanity or Chalean Extreme?
I am 5 weeks postpartum, and still have 17 pounds to lose. I did a couple rounds of P90X before, but stopped when I got pregnant, and don't want such a long workout with a baby to take care of. I'm also sick of Tony Horton's cheesy sense of humor. I already have a flat belly and a fair amount of muscle tone, even though I am 17 pounds heavier than before.
So which workout is better, if I am primarily concerned about time commitment?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoWhy is the C-section rate so high in this country? I know it is a life-saving procedure at times?
I know it is needed sometimes, and thank goodness we live in a time where women don't die in childbirth very often. But goodness, I am about to give birth, and it seems like a woman birthing in a hospital has almost a 40% chance of a c-section! How is that life-saving?
4 AnswersPregnancy8 years agoHas anyone used ONE brand condoms? Would you recommend them, are they thinner?
Found them at Costco.
1 AnswerWomen's Health8 years agoDoes adrenaline have long-term effects on the fetus? I have had a lot of nightmares lately, then fetus moves?
So, I have been having a lot of nightmares, that my parents are hurting my baby after the birth. When I wake up, my fetus moves a lot more than she normally does. It seems like she is being stimulated by my fast heartbeat and adrenaline. Could there be any long-term effects to this?
1 AnswerPregnancy8 years agoWould a skin like this protect my IPOD from small amounts of water? Or just dirt?

I need something to protect it from slashes of water, not like I am going to take it swimming or anything. Should I get an armband with a plastic sleeve, instead?
