Do I have to be signed on to the internet to up date my laptop?

Seems I am quite brain dead this morning.

I have NO Windows 8 and need to back it up our restore to an older date. I don't grabhave a recovery point out back up saved. Can anyone help?

MY LAPTOP HATES ME! It won't open anything! It turns on, but won't let me open anything.

It tried to do an update, but it failed. Now I can't get it to open any files...won't let me see updates. Won't open internet. Nothing.

My daughter has led than 2 weeks of online school left to graduate and NEEDS this PC.

Please can anyone HELP?

I'm not very smart so if there is an easy fix, please send.

I have tried everything but setting my home on fire.

I read where they like sweet things do I made traps for them. They could care less. They walk right by the stuff and head for any thing salty or spice. I noticed this when I cut up Hot peppers. I missed a few seeds when I was cleaning up and the SOB' s were all over the seed.

I am told that these are German roaches and they will never leave.

I bleach my kitchen once a week and use vinegar to clean the rest of the time.

These nasty things are taking over.

Here's the problem... I DO NOT know how to make bland or boring meals.

I am a very good cook and My Family enjoys all kinds of foods. However I make Chef like dishes. My meals and plates look like something you would order in a High end restaurant,very flavorful,healthy and all the thing's you would expect normal people to eat.

What the heck do I cook for this Family?

They dont like gravies...veggies...(only canned crap...green beans and corn) Nothing green but those beans. They dont even like pasta or tacos... (I thought everyone liked those)

They do however like meat.potatoes,eggs and cheeses....oh wait only cheddar and processed cheese..I may puke.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can please this family with a home cooked meal that doesnt come from a can or the freezer?

Crock Pot ideas are welcomed.

I have had the Belkin 54g working on my desk tops PC for over 2 years...Now all of a sudden it has stopped working and I cant get it back on my desk tops. Does anyone out there have a solution?

If I save my pics on a USB memory card can I re-install windows with the disk and will this get rid of a Mal-ware virus I have on my PC?

I finally got My Firewall option back up but the other 2 that are to be there wont come up or load. I need the Mal-ware one fr sure. I have a Mal-ware virus running through my Pc that's keeping me from play my Sims games on it. Every time we try to play a game the computer shuts down.
