my puppy has a semi rare disease called puppy strangle. this causes his head to swell and sores on his face that can turn into infection. he has been on a steriod and antibiotic for about 3 weeks now to keep the symptoms away and according to the vet will be on it for 4-8 weeks. this morning before i left for work i gave him his meds and he was fine. when i got home this evening i noticed this lump on his neck almost the size of a golf ball. he is eating and drinking fine and seems to not be in pain. its to late to the call the vet and he has a check up next week anyway. my question is could this be a side effect of the meds? what could it be ? should i make him a earlier appt or be worried?

well first i wanted to ask because i bought this rabbit about 4 days ago and there really doesnt seem to be any water out of his bottle, i am not sure if my boyfriend has refilled it while i was at work or not but as far as i know he hasnt, also where i bought him they gave them water in a bowl so i was wondering if that may be why. i am also wondering what kind of bunny he is i am thinking he is a lion head because he is alittle fuzzy and has long hair on the top of his head and around his ears. but when i looked them up on google they seem to be fuzzy all over. Are their different types if lion heads or do i have a different breed. Also if he isnt drinking why could that be and what can i do , would it be the fact he isnt used to the bottle or something i should call a vet about. thanks

i just bought a rabbit but i would like to litter train him so he doesnt have to be in his cage a lot. i have a litter box and litter and i stuck him in there and he did urinate. but i know that he is going to need some work. he is still a baby so i am hoping that will make it easier. tips welcome Thanks!

well this case really hit home to me, my dog ran away about 3 weeks ago and the next day we found him hit by a car he had passed away. i had put up signs for him hoping someine would find him and call me, well tonight someone called and said he thought he found him and even though i knew it wasnt him decided to go look. its a older chiuaua he said he found him running on the side of the road and decided to take him in. he was going to take him to the pound the next morning and being the person i am decided to take him in. he is an older dog and doesnt look like a stray he looks well fed and everything wich leads me to believe he must belong to someone and maybe ran away like my dog did. i brought him home and planned on making fliers for my area and calling the local pound to see if anyone reported a missing dog, but i have a problem my male dog doesnt like him and tried to attack him and he is much bigger than him so i have my dog locked in the bedroom but he is crying to be let out. the stray is pacing around restlessly and i will not stop i dont know what to do to make him more comfortable and what to do until i can find his home or get him to a no kill shelter. suggestions please!!

when i try to stand up or strech or anything i get this really sharp pain right below my belly button and it shoots down into my vagina. i dont know what it is or of it could be somthing serious amd im not trying to go to the hospital if not. just wanted some opinions please thanks.

My male dog is a runner so my friend suggested getting him neutered to stop the problem. Only thing is I had him neutered about a month ago but he is still running off. I have a fence but he has learned to get out of it so it does no good. I also have a female but she was fixed when I got her and she has had no urge to run. Do females naturally stay better? And what can I do to fix this problem.

I don't have a pregnant dog or anything I'm just curious bc my best friends dog is pregnant and her dog was from a litter of 12 !

Okay so I have this thing on my leg technically but its pretty close to my vagina it was just a lump and kept getting bigger then all the sudden a pimple head looking thing popped up so I popped it and tons of clear fluid and blood came out it seemed like it was completley gone after that but then it started to fill up again so I popped it again this time it was puss and blood now its purple and there is a small home on the top when I popped it again a lot of blood came out and some puss and it wasn't so purple annymore looked pretty much gone but now it has filled up w blood again what ias this and what should I do I have been putting neosporin on it and a bandaid to help w infection but there is still a hole in it like my skin is being eaten away or something. And I also have been putting peroxide on it every day and my friend said the peroxide could be eating away at my skin

about 4 months ago i rescued a dog that had a poor life. Tied up outside never paid any attention to not even a dog box. His owners took him to the pound where i found my newly loved baby. He is about 1 1/2 yrs old. My problem is that he has to be by my side constantly, when i sit on the couch to watch tv he will sit beside me and keep hitting my hand with his hand so i will pet him. this goes on for hours. he can never relax and just lay beside me i have to constantly be touching him. i figured he would be like this at first considering his background but its been awhile now and hasn't got any better. i have a runner set up outside for him he is young and healthy and loves to run but i cant walk away from him or go inside for a minute or he will cry. I do love him but any suggestions in how to get him to calm down and know that im not going to leave him?

My boyfriends grandma got a call saying that the sheriff would be here on the 28th to force her to move. The landlords did give her an eviction notice but that was it. There was never a court date set up or anything. Could they legally force her to leave with out a order from the courts?

yesterday my friend threw a lighter at me joking around. it hit me in the stomach by my belly button and for some reason. then all day it felt like something was bulging out where it hit me at and hurts when i bend over or stretch out. also there is a small bruise there. i have no idea why it is doing this or if this is normal. i don't want to go to the doctor yet because i feel like a hypochondriac, i know this sounds cray but i was also worried that it may be an aneurysm. just wanted your thoughts on if this is normal or not bc im freaking out alittle.

i have ran out of hamster food and payday isn't for another 2 weeks. is there anything else i can use to feed them that will be safe and wont harm them?

i've bred regular rabbits but would like to breed angoras, and i cant seem to find any breeders near me.
