1 AnswerMythology & Folklore4 years agoWhy are baseball bats made out of aluminum, rather than a different type of metal? PLEASE INCLUDE SOURCES?
Although I do understand that aluminum bats are light, I can imagine that bats made of other metals can be just as light. Strontium, for instance, has a very similar density to aluminum. Why can't they make a bat out of strontium? I understand that composite bats are made out of carbon fiber, which is very lightweight, but why can't something with a density close to aluminum or carbon be put into a bat?

A 2500 kg car traveling to the north is slowed down uniformly from an initial velocity of 20 m/s by a 6250 N braking force acting opposite the car's motion. Use the impulse momentum theorem to answer the following questions:
a. What is the car's velocity after 2.5 seconds?
b. How far does the car move during 2.5 s?
c. How long does it take the car to come to a complete stop (final velocity=0)?

I understand that St. Rita is often considered as the patron saint of baseball, but since Sebastian is the patron saint of athletes, would he partially be considered the patron saint of baseball?
