  • 8 1/2 month old baby gags on any solid table food?

My daughter is now 8 1/2 months old, and will gag and throw up any time I try to offer a solid table food like small pieces of banana or puffs. She has been eating cereal since around 5 months, then pureed fruits/veggies around 6 months then 2 type foods after that. She handles all of those just fine. Is it still too early? It seems like my son was already eating table foods around 7-8 months.

  • Gas/fussiness in 6 week old baby?

My 6 week old daughter is gassy/fussy, especially in the evening. I tried Enfamil Newborn and Gentlease formulas, and am now using their ProSobee formula along with Dr Browns bottles. I burp her often during feedings, and have tried gas drops as well as gripe water. Is there anything else I could be doing?

  • Different pictures under 'Camera' camera roll and 'Photos' camera roll?

On my iPhone, there are different pictures under the 'Camera' camera roll and the 'Photos' camera roll - this happened after I installed the new operating system last week. All photos were taken with the iPhone, and in the past were listed in both areas. Any way to fix this?

  • Am I testing too early?

I'm on a 29 day cycle, my next period is due Oct 9th - I believe I O'd around Sep 27-28th (first month using an OPK). Should I show on a early preg test if I'm pregnant or could it still be too early? Tested this morning with a First Response Early Result test and got a BFN.

  • Early positive result and type of test?

Has anyone gotten a positive result any earlier than 10DPO or is that about as early as it gets? What type of test did you use?

  • Early result pregnancy test?

What is the earliest you've gotten a positive result using a early result pregnancy test? How many days before your period was due?

  • I have an OPK question?

How many days should you normally show positive on an OPK? I've been testing since 8 days after my period (period on Sep 10 - starting testing Sep 18), and I've had a positive result for the past three days (Sep 26,27,28). I'm using an Answer OPK 20 day kit. Thanks!

  • When to move child to a toddler bed from crib?

I have an 18 month old son, and am curious when I should move him to a toddler bed? He doesn't (or hasn't) climb out of the crib, but he seems to be getting too big for it length-wise. Thanks!

  • Cutting out overnight bottles for 6 month old?

So I'm on day 2 of trying to cut out overnight bottles for my 6 month old son – he normally wakes up around 1:30-2am and I would give him a bottle and put him back in bed. Now I'm just trying to console him and get him calmed back down to go back to sleep without the bottle. The first night I watered down some formula, and he only drank about 2oz (normally about 6oz of non-diluted formula) and fell back asleep. Last night I didn’t offer any bottle, and he cried for about 30 minutes before he went back to sleep . He doesn’t take a pacifier (I’ve tried – doesn’t like them). Any advice or recommendations on what to do differently? I need some sleep!

  • How to get infant son to eat green veggies?

I tried to give my son some pureed green beans last night, and he literally gagged. He is just starting solid foods, and so far I have tried bananas, apples, avocado, and sweet potatoes with him. Any advice on how to get him to eat green veggies, or what I could mix them with so he doesn’t hate the taste?

  • Members Mark brand diapers from Sams Club?

Does anyone use these? What do you like/dislike about them? I want to try them - I've been using Pampers exclusively since my son was born (he's 5 months/size 2) and have been pleased, but am looking for a cheaper alternative.

  • How long before baby #2?

Just curious how long other moms waited after your first baby to have your second? Hubby and I have been discussing and we'd like to have them close together, but I've always 'heard' to wait at least a year to you let your body recover. What was your experience?

  • Thinking of switching formula brands?

Has anyone tried the Members Mark (Sams Club brand) of formula that is comparable to Enfamil Lipil? My son is 4 months old, and has been on Enfamil Premium Lipil since about 8 weeks. I'm thinking of switching, just based on price - any experience with these two brands?

  • Did your in-laws try to 'take over' when you had your baby?

My son is almost 4 months old, and recently we went to visit our families for the Easter holiday. My family was fine and seemed to be respectful of my wishes as a new mother, but my husband's family was the complete opposite. I felt as if I was only there b/c I had given birth to this child, and that he was now here for their entertainment. I don't remember anyone asking if they could hold/play with him, and all everyone did was talk about what they were going to do with my son when he's older (have him come stay with them, spend time with them, go on vacation with them, etc). Am I just being overly sensitive, or should they have been more respectful of me as a new mom? It made me very uncomfortable, to the point I am now dreading spending time around them.

  • At what age did you let your child stay overnight with family?

Our family lives about 3 hours away (both sides), and I am dreading the day my parents or in-laws ask for my son to come stay with them over the weekend. He is just now three months old, and hasn't stayed away from me yet. At what age did you first let your child stay over night with his/her grandparents/aunt/uncle?

  • When did you move your baby to his/her own room?

My son is 13 weeks old today, and I still have him in a bassinet next to our bed. When should I move him to his own room? When did you move your child, and what problems did you have (if any) with the change?

  • Breastfeeding advice?

My son is 10 days old, and seems to be nursing more often than every 2 hours today....is this alright? Does this mean I am not producing enough milk? Id like to breastfeed exclusively - is there any way to get my milk supply up?

  • Your induction stories?

I am currently 5 days overdue, and scheduled to be induced on Friday (41 wks). My doctor is planning to start with Cervidil, then depending on how my body responds will start Pitocin and possibly break my water. At my appointment yesterday, I was at 2cm and 50% effaced (which is not much change from my previous appointments). I'm just curious to hear other induction stories? I'm nervous but very excited to meet my son.

I lost my mucus plug this morning, I'm just wondering if that means anything or if labor could still be a week or two away? I'm 39 weeks today.
