  • American and British schools?

    Hi,

When I'm watching American films/ programmes I always wonder the difference between British and American schools...

Americans say elementary school what's this? Is this infant school?

And for example 10th grade is that year 10 as British say?

Americans say college, is that university? Because when I watch films they say there going to college but there like 20years plus?

  • Starting my new job tomorrow and my anxiety is really bad...?

    Hi,

I was at my last job for nearly 2 years and loved it, I loved the people, I could just walk in and get on with my work, it was relaxed, good money I just loved it and I know that's rare to find, but I got made redundant 4 weeks ago it was horrible.

I've spent the last 4 weeks with my friends, family and my boyfriend, luckily I got a job within a week of leaving my last job... So I could enjoy the time I had off,

I had bad anxiety early last year but I've not been bad for ages.

I start my new job tomorrow and I just wanna cry, I keep panacking, feel really down. I am really hardworking so it's unusual for me not to want to work and earn money. But I hate change I just keep thinking what if I can't be myself there like I could at my old job because I'm a loud and bubbly person, what if I don't get on with people what if I'm just "jumping into the trying pan?"

I really don't wanna leave my boyfriend we live together and I've spent so much time with him why I've been made redundant and I'm so emotional... What's up with me? Any tips or help thank you

  • Redundancy.... New Job?

Hi, I was made redundant on Wednesday and I LOVED my job, I'd been there nearly two years and mainly because of the people I worked with we were all the same age range and got on so well. I know I'm still going to see them all but I hate change and I really fitted in in my job. I'm so scared that when I get a new job I'm not going to fit in and get on well with others. Any advice?
