Hi, I am an Ontario high school student( grade 12) and I am planning to apply to the University of Calgary and Saskatchewan for an undergraduate program. I am hoping to apply to medical school upon reaching the necessary requirements. I have noticed that both Calgary's medical school and Saskatchewan's medical school have a certain quote for the number of out of province students. This of course serves as an advantage of residents in Calgary and Saskatchewan as they have less competition to get into med school. I was wondering whether I would be eligible for this advantage if I do my undergrad in Saskatchewan for example, even though I am originally from Ontario.

Hey guys, I am finishing up 11th grade and the time to start choosing universities is quickly arriving. I am really interested in applying to an mbbs (5 year medical program) in the uk. However, I am struggling to understand the entry requirements necessary to apply, it says that I need 7A levels at GCSE. In addition, the university website talks about AS levels and AAA levels. What does this mean? What is an A level, and what is it equivalent to in Canada? Thank you so much.

Hi, i am an athletic 15 year old male. About 1 year ago, I noticed 3 swollen lymph nodes on my neck( two in the back left and right corners of my neck and one in between my chin and beginning of my neck) they felt tender, warm, hurt when i touched them, and were oval shaped 1.5cm by 1.5 cm. About a week after the lymph nodes got a bit smaller and didn't hurt when touching them. I still have these same lymph nodes they haven't decreased/ increased in size since, they are pretty firm, they feel like they are stuck to a underlying tissue and are painless. I have gotten plenty of other lymph nodes like these on my groin and armpits, but go away fully after a week. I think that this may be due to the fact that i squeezed and played with lymph nodes i have now, but i did not touch the ones that are gone. I am not experiencing night sweats, fatigue, or weight loss. Do you think i have lymphoma? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi, i am an athletic 15 year old male. About 9 months ago, I noticed a swollen lymph node on the back of my neck, when i felt it it was tender, warm, and hurt when i touched it. But now 9 months later i still have that same swollen lymph node, which is about 1 cm in diameter, its hard, painless, and fixed in one spot. When i first got this swollen lymph node i was alway squeezing it pressing it and i don't if that is the cause for it being the way it is now. The same thing happened again on a different area except it feels like two swollen lymph are stuck together. I also get swollen lymph nodes on my armpits,which are always tender, warm and hurt to touch, but go away fully after 1 week. I am really worried that i have cancer.

I am an athletic 15 year old male. About 10 days ago, i had a cold and i got a random nosebleed, 5 days after that i was blowing my nose into a Kleenex and i noticed my nose was bleeding again, those 2 time were the first nosebleeds in my life without being hit in the nose. I also have been feeling dizzy and lightheaded, almost like it is hard for me to focus my eyes, and just today i am starting to feel pain in my right knee when i put pressure on it,i don't know if this is from playing soccer or from leukemia. I have read that leukemia has the same symptoms as the ones i am having, like joint pain, dizziness lightheadedness( lack of blood in the brain), nosebleeds. I am extremely stressed and worried, this may be a cause for some of my symptoms but i am not sure. Could you please give me some feedback or similar experiences you have faced. God bless!!

I was setting up my Christmas light and i think the wire of my christmas light touched the wire of my stereo system, as soon as they touched i heard a big boom and some air rush out of my subwoofer. Now every time I plug in my subwoofer i hear this hmmm sound. Also my stereo system doesn't work at all i doesn't even turn on. What wrong with my stereo system, and how can i fix it?

I have a pounding heart beat every once in a while, i am a very healthy 14 year old male i don't smoke drink or take much caffeine. I don't experience pain or any other symptoms like shortness of breath or dizziness, along with these heart pounding. Is this anything major like a heart disease. I have heard that i might possibly have heart palpitations. I haven't told my parents and i am really worried to ask a doctor can you please give me info, past experiences anything that will help me.

am a healthy 14 year old male, non-smoker, non-alcoholic, i have been experiencing random pounding heart beats for about 1 and a half months. this is what am feeling my heart is beating normally, i don't feel anything then i experience a pounding beat in the middle of my chest then my continues to beat normally again and this is continuous. I feel these beats sometimes in my upper chest and sometimes in my lower. I have not been experiencing any other symptoms, like fainting or dizziness along with the heart poundings. I have noticed that when i think about it and stress i feel more poundings, around 1- 100 beat per day, and when i am distracted and not thinking about it i experience 1- 10 a day. I think this may be heart palpitations, but i am not sure, i don't find that it is painful and i put my hand to my chest when there is a heart pounding i feel a harder beat.

Could please provide me with some info or something to help me feel better
