  • Where did DNA come from?

Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, commented that "DNA is like a software program, only much more complex than anything we've ever devised."

Everyone knows that even the simplest computer program has a designer, yet it is apparently "logical" to believe that DNA happened by chance??

  • Do people really think that Jesus did not actually walk on this earth?

Is it just people taking a jab, or are there really people out there that think Jesus of Nazereth didn't exist. Not if he was God or not, just that He didn't exist?

  • What does sin mean to you?

I've only been on R&S for maybe a week, but there is alot happening here. I never cared for the word sin or the phrase "hey your going to hell sinner" as Im sure most of you dont either. Some of you have really laid it out there, opening up and expressing how you feel about this. So if you havent and want to vent, so to speak, now is your chance.

For the Christian reader, Im a Christian, I do know the importance of sin, and our need for a savior and Im really hoping no other Christians will answer this.

  • Do you think science will be the downfall of evolution?

It seems that the stronger the microscopes get, and the more we learn about microbiology, the more evidence there seems to be for an intelligent designer. What do you think?

  • Jehovah question for JW's?

Thanks for those of you who responded before. Why then do you feel justified in replacing so many other names for God with Jehovah, if it is just one of the many translations of Yahweh?

  • Yahweh, a question for Jw's?

Why do you use the name Jehovah? God never revealed himself as Jehovah, He reveals himself as Yahweh. Yahweh is translated in most bibles as LORD all caps and is used 6828 times in the OT. I understand that in the original Hebrew in its ancient form they didnt have vowels and so in was translated YHWH. Like my name is Daniel it would have been translated DNL. . So words were being pronouced wrong and along come the Masoretes who began adding vowel points at the bottom underneath the constanants so people would know how to pronouce the words. Well they were so hung up about saying Gods name that they put the vowel points for the word Adonai translated "Lord" under Yahweh. So when they translated the OT of the KJV they made up a word. Jehovah. It comes from the hybrid of the constanants for Yahweh with the vowels from Adonai. I guess with all that being said, why do you edit your NWT bibles with a made up word. And why is it wrong for you to use the name God choose to reveal to us?

  • Is God against Christmas?

If you listen to certain partisans you might adopt that idea! With the annual approach of this holiday, writers burst into print, radio preachers harangue and pulpiteers propagandize against observance of Christmas.

Christmas is a pagan holiday!” thunder some.

“Christians shouldn’t celebrate Christmas!” warn others.

    “God’s against Christmas!”

    So the charges fly.

If you have time check out the link it is a good read.

    God Bless and Merry Christmas!!!

  • I though atheists only believe in the material world?

If this is the case why do so many of you create names with "evil" or other "spiritual words and phrases" in them.

Please refrain from off handed comments. I would actually like to know.

  • Jesus resurrection?

To all who answered my question posted earlier, thank you. I obviously mislead somepeople in the way I presented my question. I am a follower of Christ, I do trust the Bible.

That being said, does anyone know of any other books/documents Roman, Jewish or other that also shed light on this historical event.

  • Jesus resurrection?

Has anyone ever actually studied the historical accounts of this event? If so what sources are available, outside of the bible? What did you decide fact or fiction. Please only people that have actually taken the time to do this, no opinions please

  • Since Evolution is a racist doctrine, do those of you who believe in it let people know you are racist?

If you read Darwins books, he clearly puts people types above others, for example whites are above yellow skinned and blacks.
