  • Any ideas for Dr. Seuss-themed confections?

Our church is mounting Seussical the Musical at the end of May and I thought it might be a nice touch to have Seuss-themed food for intermission. I have found candy molds on Ebay, which are a great idea, but I'm wondering if any of you have other ideas for things that can be served, especially ready-made food. If you can provide links that would be very helpful!

  • Suggestions for Guitar Songs?

I am starting a guitar club at school and I have a collection of grades 4, 5 and 6 students who range from very beginner to capable. I wanted to ask if anybody knew of songs that would be appropriate for all the members - in my mind this means easy strumming and an easy solo at some point.

I don't want to limit the answers too much but we are a Catholic school so words are also a concern but I work around that.

  • Can I connect to a video conference with a webcam and an internet connection?

I'm part of a university cohort that is having a video conference tonight. The group is getting together at a school that has a video conference suite but I am unable to attend because I need to be at home. I was wondering if anybody knows of a way that I can connect to the conference with my internet connection and webcam.

I have the "address" of the conference; a phone number like series of digits separated by @ and followed by what looks a little like an IP address (groups of 2-3 digits with dots separating).

In case you can't tell, I don't have any experience with setting up VC, but I'm pretty comfortable using a computer so I don't mind having to set things up.

  • Where can I get good examples of questions from the SSAT?

I have a student that is taking the SSAT but it's the junior version because she is in grade six. I'm in Canada so we don't often have students write this test - only if they are entering private schools. I wanted to know more about this test and possibly provide some example questions in math but I don't know where to look.

I don't need questions for high school students though, it would only be worthwhile to have the "junior" version.

  • Can I get train track pieces in Lego Digital Designer?

I'm trying to organize my kids' Lego shelf and I'm making labels for their drawers. I'd like a label for the Lego train tracks but I can't seem to find it Digital Designer in the Brick Palette. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

  • What is the name of this book?

I'm trying to find a book that somebody told me about. It's a research study that observed people in groups and the personalities that they assume. In any group, there are a number of roles that will surface like the clown, for instance, but there were other terms as well.

For some reason I think it was called Cast of Characters but I'm pretty sure it's not this exactly; but it's along those lines.

  • What camping mattress do you recommend for somebody with a sore back?

I'm not talking about RV camping here. I have a ThermaRest and every morning I wake up sore in my lower back. Is there something else out there that is light and packable?

  • What is the name for an art project that uses various pieces of waste items...?

What is the name for an art project that uses various pieces of waste items, glued onto a background and spray painted one colour. Our school is making these projects and some people have referred to them by a certain name but I can't remember what it is!

  • What should I do with the dead branches on my mountain ash?

I've been digging around the yard and apparently dug up several important roots to our mountain ash tree. Several of the branches have died but the ones that survived (about 70% of them) look fine. Should I cut the dead ones off, leave them or should I ask a professional arborist to look at this?

  • Searching for a Scripture Verse?

I'm trying to find a verse in the New Testament that says something like "even the bad people love nice people". I'm paraphrasing liberally (if I didn't have to I would be able to find the scripture!).

If you can point me to the right verse I would be very grateful!

  • Which video editing suite would you recommend?

It has been suggested that I try either Pinnacle Studio 12 or Adobe Premiere Elements as video editors. I am not a professional in this field but I would like something reliable and well designed.

If you have used both of these or have investigated both versions, could you please give me your recommendation?
