  • How to get my toddler to eat?

My 17 month old daughter won't eat a thing. She will pick at her food and take one or two bites and then start throwing it on the floor or playing with it. Her doctor says she is healthy and gaining weight (not sure how). I have tried giving her a variety of foods but it doesn't seem to make much difference. She only gets two sippy cups of cow's milk per day (morning and night) but still doesn't have much of an appetite during the day.

    Any tips, tricks, ideas?

    Thanks!

  • At an interview yesterday they asked me "what kind of salary" I was looking for?

It was my first big interview since finishing my degree and although I felt I answered all my questions very well, the salary question took me by surprise and I froze. What should I have said? Will this hurt my chances of getting the job? The salary range was so much more than I had expected that even the lowest end of the scale was excellent for the position. They seemed very pleased with me in general...

    Thanks!

  • Numerous ovarian follicles (also posted on Women's Health)?

At an u/s scan around 1yr after my son was born I was told I had "numerous peripheral follicles" on one of my ovaries. I think she counted 9 on the right ovary and 5 on the left ovary.

When I asked what this meant, I was told "nothing" although I was asked whether I had ever had chest or facial hair which now leads me to believe a PCOS diagnosis was being suggested....

I said no to the facial/chest hair questions and nothing was ever said about it again. Since then I've had another baby with no trouble conceiving but a different doctor also mentioned these same "numerous follicles" at a subsequent check-up.

What does this all mean? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • How long after getting a tattoo do you have to wait?

before you can get it touched up? And if it needs to be touched up should I go back to the artist who did the tattoo in the first place or a new one altogether?

    Thanks.

  • Tattoo aftercare?

Can anyone give me some tips on how best to care for my tattoo? (just had it done this afternoon)

I received some advice (don't pick at it, do not submerge in water for first few weeks, keep it moist) from the tattooist as well as an aftercare sheet, but didn't get any recommendations on what type of creams to use or any other do's/don't's...

Would like to hear other people's advice/tips for anything that I may not have been told.

    Thank you.

  • Should I tell my husband?

I am away visiting my mom overseas and got my first tattoo today - 2 small flowers on the inside of my wrist, 1 for my son and 1 for my daughter.

My husband is not very keen on tattoos and has no idea I've had one done.

Should I tell him now or wait until I return home in May?

    Thanks.

  • Sharing a bedroom with baby?

We are moving and because of a tight budget we will be living in a one bedroom apartment. Our 8-month old has shared our bedroom since birth, but now that she is older and more active, we feel guilty she can't have a room of her own.

My question is how can we make our bedroom both relaxing for us and exciting for her? (it is small, about 11x11)

  • How do we know for sure?

I have heard many people say there is no heaven or hell and when we die that's it - no afterlife.

I have basic Christian beliefs and I sincerely *hope* there is a heaven and that someday I will be reunited with lost loved ones, etc.

But how can some people say with such certainty that there is no afterlife? How do we know if there is or isn't?

Can science prove or disprove the existence of a heaven or hell?

(apologies if this question has been asked before)

  • Difference between atheist, theist, agnostic, pagan, etc.?

Can someone explain these terms/beliefs to me? As in "what does someone who is agnostic believe"?

I would appreciate honest answers. I am not mocking/judging, etc. I only wish to learn more about other faiths.

    Thanks.
