I have been a born again Christian for 35 years, and am a minister of music at a Christian church. I work very closely with a minister who has degrees in geology and psychology, who has kindly taught me how science fits into Christianity. I also teach piano, have 3 children and a cat. I usually only like to answer questions that I am well informed about. I have also been baptized in the Holy Spirit, and have been in several churches that have given me a large understanding of charismatic and non-charismatic theology.

  • Why do people think 'Christians' have killed millions of people?

This is so ridiculous. Hitler was NOT Christian. In fact, he killed millions of Christians! Hitler was raised Catholic, and became and atheist. I wish people would get their facts straight! The Crusades were done by the Catholic church, in response to the Muslims who attacked and raped thousands of people in Europe. Payback is hell, people. They got tired of the Muslims raping, pillaging and killing, and decided to go after them. That's what the crusades were all about- retribution.

And not all who call themselves 'christian' are christian. I resent the fact that people keep saying all these 'Christians' have killed millions. Do your research. Atheists have killed MILLIONS and MIILLIONs of people, far more than Christians have. Stalin, Hitler, Po Pot, atheist dictators,- all of them are atheist. Let's give credit to where credit is due. Atheists are the murderers in this world.

  • Are there any real Christians who..?

feel grieved at the ignorance in R &S? I try to answer questions accurately and truthfully, and I am amazed how often I get thumbs down, for giving correct answers. Do you ever feel there is no point in trying to answer questions here, when people are more interested in putting down Christianity because it's the 'cool' thing to do, rather than hearing the truth?

  • What do you believe Christianity stands for?

Someone mentioned that in one of their answers, and I'm curious to see what the folks here on R&S think it actually is all about.

  • Why do so many people think Christians "kill people"?

Where did this notion come from? The Crusades? The Crusades were led by pagans from the Catholic church, as payback to the Muslims who had attacked Europe. They always say, "payback is hell". I don't know of any time where REAL Christians killed anybody. Those who have hurt anyone may have belonged to a church, but they weren't one of us.

  • What's there to do in San Luis, CA area?

We will be traveling there from Illinois next year, and want to know some fun things to see or do within 150 miles of San Luis (besides the Hearst Castle).

  • Ok, atheists- Do you believe there is right and wrong?

Who makes that call? If you believe in Darwin, who taught survival of the fittest, why is it wrong for a man to kill another man if he wants what he has? A lion will kill a gazelle, but we don't set up holocaust museums for gazelles. Yet we do for humans. What man has the right to declare it's not right to steal or kill? Darwinism teaches us that you do what you have to, to survive.

  • How do you write for banjo?

Can they pick 16ths, or just do chords? What's the range for banjo? Is it hard to move fast? As a pianist, I'm not sure what would be too difficult for the average player.
