I got my braces taken off about 3 years ago, but I still have the wire that goes behind the bottom row of teeth. How long is that supposed to stay there until I can take it off and if my old orthodontist is no longer practicing, can I get it off anywhere?

I think second cousin is due to generation. A parent's cousin's child. What does the removed mean? Does that mean there was a divorce somewhere along the family tree?

I've been going to the gym about 2-3 times a week and running about 2-3 miles and working on arms and legs. But I've been thinking, isn't swimming the most efficient workout because your entire body is moving constantly under pressure? You can't pick and choose what body parts to work out so your body will get burned down evenly, right?

I've had Skyrim for about a week and a half now and I've been loving it. I've downloaded a bunch of mods that help improve game play, but a couple of them require the expansion packs: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. I've tried to look up some stuff, but couldn't really find anything that I wanted to know. Will these expansions add land in which I get to explore or is there just new stuff on the existing map?

If I buy and install the expansions now, will it interfere with the vanilla game?

Wtf is it? It was just there when I walked into my house one day and it watches me when I walk around the house. I can't attack it or anything, but I remember the first time it appeared, I was able to harvest elf ears or something. Is this from a mod or is it apart of the game?

Where did he get -1, 2 and 5 from?

Before I went to college, I was under the impression that grad school was another 4 years of school in the field you took your Bachelor degree or something similar. After going to college, I found out that it doesn't take that long depending on classes taken and it doesn't have to be in the same field as your Bachelor's.

I'm still confused on how someone can get a Bachelor's in a completely different subject than your Master's. Grad students take higher level courses, so how would a grad student who studied, say Literature for 4 years, go to grad school and go straight into upper level courses of something like Chemistry?

So a few weeks ago, I bought Sims 3 off of Steam and registered it on Origin. I bought one of the expansion packs off of Origin just now and it says that in order to install the Expansion pack, I have to install Sims 3 which I already have. If I reinstall Sims 3 from Origin, will it save the games already created?

Which one would be better fit if I was just traveling to visit friends? I most likely won't be using any hotels.

For my Information class, my homework is to design a website for a store/brand of our choosing. I'm basically done with it and just customizing it for fun. I put a search bar on my page, but I'm wondering if I can write it so that it will auto correct or if there's no drop down menu that gives you past searches (I'm not sure if that's just my browser remembering what I typed in).

My friend uses a laptop while I use a desktop and we both use ethernet cables to connect us to the back of the router. According to him, every 20 minutes or so, he'll get dropped from the connection and he has to manually reconnect. He says that he noticed the connection gets worse whenever I am on my computer and that's not when I'm doing anything that needs a lot of connection (ie wikipedia or checking email).

The problem we have is that when we got this router, my friend upgraded his Mac to Maverick OS so he's not sure if the problem lies with the Maverick OS or perhaps it's because we're both connected with an ethernet because I don't get any problems on my desktop. He posted of a few forums sites and a lot of people are having the same problem of being dropped from a connection repeatedly after upgrading to Maverick. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Over the summer, I built myself a gaming desktop and everything works perfectly. The only exception is that I can't get my microphone to work and I can't figure out why. I have a Yapster TM-YB100A. I went to Control Panel -> Sounds -> Recording and it has

checked off. The only other one that I can pick is Stereo Mix. I tried going to Speech Recognition and Set up microphone. When I talk, the bar doesn't move. However, if I play a video something in the background, the bar does move. I've tried going though a bunch of other configurations and they all don't work. Can someone help me get my mic to work? Much appreciated :)

I posted a question about this before, but I have an additional one. I'm currently using a gaming desktop which I am using at college. I got my internet installed today, but the wifi speed on my desktop compared to my laptop (which is basically garbage now) is huge. I get 8 mbs on my desktop, while I get 20mbs on my laptop. People told me the reason was because of the wifi card and how a lot of laptops have an antennae.

Here's there added on question. For the past few days, I've been using the wifi of the people living on a floor below me. The speed I get from that router is over 20 mbs on my desktop and it's the same on my laptop. The distance from my computer to the router is about the same (30 ft or so). I ordered an ethernet cable off of amazon already, but I just want to know what the reason for this is.

I recently built myself an awesome gaming desktop and it has a wifi adapter. The wifi speed that I'm getting on my desktop is about 7~8 mbs, but when I turn on my laptop (which is a lot older and is basically garbage now) it runs to have about 15~20 mbs. Is there a reason for this?

So yesterday morning, my computer was working perfectly fine. When I turned it off, it said it would update so I turned off the screen and left it be. When I came back that afternoon, I turned it off and it said "Preparing to Configure Updates", but then I waited a pretty long time and then it said "Failure configuring Windows update". And then it reset itself and said the exact same thing, but it let me onto my desktop this time.

I wasn't able to open anything that was downloaded: Steam, iTunes, Google Chrome, etc. It all gave me the application error which is stated in the title. I didn't really know what to do, so I went to system recover and tried to change it back to before the update happened this morning. It said that system recovery failed or something and then I tried one to the day before and said something about the shadow failing. Thankfully, I had manually made one early this week so it worked out fine.

That night, I saw my "Shut down" button had an update picture next to it, so I just left my computer on that night because I didn't want it to update. How can I get rid of this? I went into Windows update and made it so it wouldn't update automatically because I had to system restore my computer again this morning. Any help would be appreciated!

If the Internet were no longer anonymous and you had to use some identification number to log on, would a proxy website still hide your information or no?

So, I just discovered Rainmeter and I've been playing around with it. I searched online and found some really awesome examples of layouts. My question is where do people get the background? Not the layouts, but the background before there's any customization and windows put on. I can't seem to find any. I want something to look like:

My professor gives us textbook definitions and barely anyone goes to class anymore because no one understands him. My textbook isn't helping much either. It says a subspace of a vector space V is a subset H of V that has three properties:

1. The zero vector of V is in H.

2. H is closed under vector addition. That is, for each u and v in H, the sum u + v = H

3. H is closed under multiplication by scalars. That is, for each u in H and each scalar c, the vector cu is in H.

I understand the conditions, but what does it mean when it says "vector space V is a subset H of V? So V is in H and the vector space V would be considered a subset of H? Is that saying the set of V is inside H so it's a subset of H?
