Hello, I was raised as a believer in the Catholic faith & was completely devouted to it. I drew my hope, comfort, & support from my faith. In my early twenties, I decided that it was time to learn more about my faith & strengthen it. The pursuit went well for a number of years but the more I learned, the more contradictions, inconsistencies, & problems presented themselves. I discovered more questions than answers. I eventually realized that Catholicism & the bible were incompatible. I left the Catholic church & became a Protestant Christian. This transition was the pinnacle of my faith in God. I continued my study & eventually realized that the bible is inconsistent with itself & I could no longer believe. A brief look at other religions revealed the same thing. Much to my distress, I had to accept the truth that I was no longer a believer. Thanks for reading... :)
If God intelligently designed us, why are drunk people more likely to survive car accidents than sober people?
Seconds before experiencing extreme bodily trauma, why would God give us an instinct that is DISADVANTAGEOUS to our survival by tensing up before impact?
Perhaps it would be more intelligent to equip us with the instinct to relax the muscles and go limp the way the drunk person does. If drinking in excess is supposedly a sin, why does God seemingly reward the drunk drivers and punish the sober ones?

Matthew 24:34 - "Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened."
In this whole chapter, Jesus is discussing the end times.

The garden, the flood, the tower of Babel, assigning one tribe to kill the others... Seems Yahweh just couldn't get it right...
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDoes God harden atheists hearts so he can send them to hell?
...just like how he hardened Pharoah's heart so he could kill the Egyptians?
Exodus 9:12
"But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said to Moses."
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIsn't it ironic that all of the firstborn of Egypt were the ones who deserved to die?
It should be safe to assume that God executes perfect judgement and won't ever punish someone unjustly, correct?
So what was going on with the firstborn?
