  • Can non-Muslims pray with Muslims?

I am a Roman Catholic, raised and continual practioner, but I have been exposed to other religions and denominations (mainly Baptists). Since I've started college, I now have greater access to people of other faiths. I am especially interested in the relationship between Christianity, Judaism and Islam. We recognize the same prophets and texts, hold similar Holy Lands and pray to the same God (specifically, the One True God). There is a special relationship between these three faiths that does not exist between others. I'd like to share in their rituals and practices as well as share my own faith's. One of the things I wanted to do is attend prays with a Jew and a Muslim then bring them to Mass.

My question is, can a non-Muslim, such as a Christian, participate in a prayers with a Muslim, specifically in a Mosque or while performing the Salat? I find that most Muslim prayers are not in conflict with my beliefs. So, as long as no one is offended, is there a problem? Does Islamic law prevent this? I've heard different things from different people and thought this might be a way to gauge what Muslims think.

Also, is there any thing that prevents a Muslim from participating in Christian prayer? Some of the things seem down right universal (such as the Our Father and the Al-Fatiha).

    Thanks.
