I'm looking for songs that sound happy, but are actually sad. Not just songs that are upbeat but that have sad lyrics, but also songs that the lyrics could be happy but when you think about them, they're a lot darker and sadder than they seem. Hence, "secretly."

They don't even have to sound happy, as long as you can be tricked into thinking it's a happy song!

I'm into indie/classic rock/grunge type music, but I'll take a listen to just about everything but country, pop, rap. Unless they're REALLY good. I mean out-of-this-world good.

I wrote down a dream I had last night. It's too long to post on yahoo, so I'm linking you to google docs. I would really appreciate it if someone would take the time to read it and comment back. There are a lot of symbols that I can recognize in the dream but I really don't know what they mean, especially the second one. Can anyone help me interpret? It's okay if it's just a few ideas or an unprofessional opinion.

I've been depressed for about three or four months now. I was kind of in denial at first, but I came to realize that I was acting completely out of the ordinary and after doing my research, I guess I came to that conclusion. I'm doing exercise, eating well, getting as much sleep as I can (not a lot...), but it's still there.

But that's not what this question is about. I've started to notice a pattern in how I act, and one of those patterns is that increasingly, I seem to try to find reasons to be more depressed, or to justify my depression, maybe. Talking to people about my problems helps in the moment, but afterwards I become more aware of how terrible I feel and it gets worse, too. I have difficulty talking about how I feel, and I always end up purposefully remembering all of the times I kept my feelings to myself, of the things I didn't feel I could talk to them about, and I start thinking and being retrospective and then I start digging myself into a hole where I push shame onto myself for anything I can think of. I'm not even trying to use it as a way to motivate myself to feel better, but I have this automatic instinct to make myself more depressed in reaction to just about anything.

Not to ramble or anything. I'm kind of interested in the psychology of the human mind, so I was curious as to whether anyone else has reacted this way to depression, or if there's some kind of explanation for this behavior. I really think it's ridiculous but by the time I realize it's happening, that realization just turns into another thing I can use against myself. Any ideas or thoughts on this? Interpretations?

So I have a friend, he's fifteen, a top-40/rap kind of guy, really into the mainstream music scene. He's a sucker for anything catchy.

And then there's me, on the complete opposite end of the music spectrum in the sense that I never know what the "top 40" music is. I'm 17, but we're in the same grade (11th).

My own music taste varies from The Raconteurs to Beirut to The Flaming Lips and everything that runs in between. Since neither of us understands and/or listens the others taste in music, we're making each other mix cd's.

But here I'm stuck - I don't know what to put on his mix cd. I have a couple of songs selected already, but I need suggestions for some good songs that I could use to introduce to the indie/rock music scene. Any ideas? It would be much appreciated!

The title should say it all. I'm on a quest for low rise, skinny, corduroy pants. The tighter the better, I guess? I feel uncomfortable when pants are baggy on me, which is why I wear jeggings. They're the only kind of pants that fit me the way I like without being 40$ and up.

Back to the question. I saw that there were some on clearance at Delia's (which I have NEVER been to before) so I might go there. Brown would be nice, but as long as it's a dark color and not black I'm fine with it. Any ideas where I could find some?

Two nights ago I was crying a lot (I hate to admit it, oh geez). When I woke up, my eyelid had started to swell up. At first it was only a little, and I told my mom that night and she gave me this antibiotic I was prescribed a few years back to like, clean my eye. However, all of today it didn't go down at all, and when I come home she told me that it had gotten worse. I've looked around on google and the lovely yahoo answers and I've found a couple of treatments that I'm going to try out tonight, like cold wet tea bags, body lotion, spoons...

The problem is that I'm worried it might be something else. Is it normal for my eye to keep on swelling like this for two days? I know why your eyes get puffy and swollen from crying, I've done some research about it before, but I think the reaction I'm having is a bit exaggerated, and plus it's only one eye? The other one's perfectly fine. Any thoughts?

Below I have the code for a program, rather, a fake virus, that works for the TI-83 basic calculator. This isn't my own creation, but rather that of a classmate. He made it i during class one day, and let me copy it because, well, I thought it was cool. However, when I tested it out at home, it didn't work. It worked perfectly on his own calculator. I'm pretty sure I probably copied something wrong, or that there's some extra command I didn't know to put in. Anyway, this is it:

Basically, the program is intended to give the calculator a life of it's own, in a way. For example, if you would enter 1+2 in the calculator, I'd expect the calculator to show me TEXT 1 rather than the actual answer to the problem. However, at first, the calculator would show me all of the texts I entered… now, it's digressed to the point where I only see "Done" once, and then the program ends. So the first time I type in 1+2 I get "Done," but the second time, it just shows me three.

How can I fix the program so that it shows me the right text, and so that it works continuously until it's told to stop? I'd appreciate the help.

Also, this is basically the first time I've ever done TI-83 programming. I did some research on my own, but I wasn't able to figure it out by myself, so here I am…

I was working on a little calculus problem, and ended up with an answer of 10 divided by the square root of six (10 / (6^1/2)). However, checking the answer in the back of the book shows 5 times the square root of six (5 * 6^(1/2)). I checked online and found someone who did the same problem and also got my answer, but then set it as equal to the latter. I feel very stupid for not being able to figure it out by myself, but how does the first expression translate into the second?

I'm currently planning a recipe that involves apple-flavored baked goods with custard. However, I want a particular kind of custard, one that's made with jam instead of a fruit itself... I had no luck when I scoured the internet (i.e. Google), and so I was wondering if you lovelies knew of anything may have slipped my eye, or could provide me with a recipe that I could adapt/change to fit what I need! Hi. I'm sixteen, about 5'2", and usually I weight around 115 pounds. However, about a month ago I tried out being vegetarian again - so far, I'm a month in (I still eat fish occasionally, my parents made me promise to eat meat at least once a month, too. Nutritional measures :P), but I've noticed that since I started I've been steadily losing weight. I haven't been doing any more exercise than usual (I run occasionally), and I'm not taking any measures to try and lose weight. I was just wondering if this was natural, or if it could be unhealthy. Hey! So, I have a bunch of photos that I took with my camera, then edited on photoshop. About 2/3 of them take up over 100 MB, the rest are at about 50. I want to upload some of the to tumblr, where the maximum is 10 MB... I was wondering if there was any miraculous way of lowering my photos to that level. I wouldn't change the actual ones, but rather duplicates (I won't permanently give up quality!)

I have to write a 3-7 page research paper based on a social movement for my English class. The reason I'm having difficulty is because it's supposed to double as a persuasive essay, so I'm finding it impossible to write a thesis that can meet both of those requirements. Does anyone have any ideas what I could do? The topic of my paper is the Animal Rights Movement (in favor of).

I'm going to be going to an anime convention soon, and I really want to cosplay as a character that wears overalls! And NOT Mario and Luigi. I've looked up like, mechanics, but they're all either girls with crop tops and baggy jeans, or mecha characters. Are there any other anime, or even manga characters, that wear overalls? Guys or girls are fine please, thankss!

So I've looked around on google, and I've pretty much gotten 75% / 25% on the matter, the majority saying that latias and ditto can't be breed. However, I've also read that unless a legendary has a legendary has a gender, they can't be breed either - but my latias does have a gender, so wouldn't that mean it can breed? I don't really want to use up too much time testing it myself, though I've already put the two pokemon in the day care. Just wanted to know if there's any official information out there.

So I've gotten this urge to make either apple or strawberry flavored madeleines, but I can't find a recipe anywhere for either of them. I was hoping that I could just adapt a normal recipe, but I don't want to risk that. I'm thinking that maybe I could take a recipe for a different kind of fruit-flavored madeleine, and substitute in strawberries or apples, but first I'd like to figure out which fruits are most similar to the two respectively. Any help?
