I want to prank my friend

This is not for school or college quite yet. I still have time but my mother really wants to find reasons to get mad at me and make my life harder. She literally brought up college and said I waste too much time on my phone instead of doing more important things. I'm a straight A student, class president, tennis captain, and vice president of another club. So in order to go out with my friends on Labor day, I have to come up with five topics to write an essay on and write an essay on one of them. As if I didn't already have enough work what with doing the IB Diploma program (similar to taking all AP's).

So today my crush texted me out of the blue, and after a while, it turned into a deep conversation about how he didnt really try in school and felt like his life was pointless and just told me about how badly he was doing in school. I know him from church so i had no inkling of this. I liked him because he was super nice and we had the same sense of humor. I've only liked him about a month though, and after this conversation, it just felt like a huge turnoff. Of course I was super helpful and supportive and he really appreciated it, but maybe it's better I only think of him as a friend now. (Just because all my friends are waiting for us to get together. Pretty sure he liked me back) but know I don't super duper feel that way, I'm a 4.0 avg gpa student who's super involved. Now I'm a heck of a romantic and I know love isnt all about grades and stuff but it was a huge turnoff. But I do really appreciate his faith, hard to find nowadays. It's now like I want to like him but I don't want to. Basically, I'm feeling very conflicted.

SO if you put yourself in my shoes, how might you feel?

AND/OR any advice?

I need to provide a 25-50 word description of the devil from the info in Judges but can't find any mention of it. Have I missed something?

So far I've thought of preservation (of self and/or others) and attainment. If you have any other ideas please please please tell me, or even just elaborate on the ones that I do have.
