  • Why are people insecure about being emotional or need to fit in more?

My youngest sister is very emotional. I notice she sees everything that is not within their experience as an attack on her. For example, I get over things more quickly than her, she seems to think I am looking down on her because I do not get as emotionally invested in things as she does, nor do I get very attached.

  • What's the deal? I am trying to understand her?

My youngest sister is pretty emotional, and borderline sappy. I notice she sees everything that is not within their experience as an attack on her. For example, I get over things more quickly than her, she seems to think I am looking down on her because I do not get as emotionally invested in things as she does, nor do I get very attached.

  • more things I wonder about being a Christian?

Everyone's got a different opinion on what's a sin. Does it matter if you select to sin or not, so long as it's not super evil like rape, murder, theft? Does it matter if you are rude, mean, bullying, taunting, controlling? Everybody sins. I know judging is the most evil sin. If you do not judge and love others, why can't you just live as you please? It's difficult to believe that God will hold us one day accountable for everything we do. People use the Lord's name in vain everyday, I say bad words everyday. Most people have sex before marriage, will not repent, and probably do not care or even think it's a sin. I could keep going. Morality only seems to brought up when people act extremely sinful like stealing, murdering, rape, incest, or judging another person etc. For the most part, it seems like living like a Christian does not really matter.

  • In your opinion, is she simply mean or does she have a strong personality? How to deal...?

Do not get me wrong. I do cherish my friendship with this girl. She has plenty of traits I envy. She is assertive, strong, independent, opinionated, bold, honest. Sometimes I wish she could tone it down. The main thing that annoys me, she will not tolerate my nonsense for a minute, but oh my gosh when she says something that is very rude to me, she tries to make seem like I am overreacting for getting upset, if the tables were turned, she would not tolerate it. It is difficult to her apologize or admit she is wrong. She practically pressures me to admit I am wrong or tries to guilt trip me. She has to win every argument, get the last word. She WILL NOT tolerate when I play the victim role/card, ironically once when I told her she was acting the same way, she quickly tried to shut me up or end the argument, because SHE KNEW I WAS RIGHT. She has this attitude "no one can tell her what to do." How can I learn to get along with her better?

  • Would life be easier if you were stupider?

Sometimes I read about all these different scientific theories, philosophical arguments, etc. yes, intelligence is a wonderful thing. sometimes it seems pointless and just a prideful way to show off. I am not that smart. Sometimes I think my life would be easier if I did not know so much. Why is any of this important ways? All you really need is food, water, shelter, love and a family.

  • Does logic have it's flaws? Sometimes I think being overly logical blinds people?

When everything has to be literal or physical.

  • How would Jesus Christ like us to treat people like this?

A lot of people like to complain about the self-righteous, bigot, hypocritical, judgmental Christians. Whatever happened to he who is without sin cast the first stone. I do not agree that it is right to be this way. Many people are quick to disassociate themselves with being judgmental, hypocritical. It's like almost all sins are not that bad, except judging. I do not understand.

  • Do you really want an honest answer for these type of questions?

I hear people ask questions on here like "are you a bigot?" "are you homophobic?" "are you sexist?" Do these people really want an honest answer or are they looking for an opportunity to condemn.

  • Questions on Catholic/Catechism?

How do you know if you are becoming a religious fanatic or bigoted? I am curious. I know in the bible it says "enter through the narrow gate." There are so many different opinions on Christianity. What is the core most important belief? Do you have to be a virgin until marriage? Where is the line between honoring your parents versus allowing them to control you? I understand as Christians we will have very different individual beliefs. Do we all have to same beliefs on certain things? Sometimes I think it's sometimes hard to define "right" and "wrong" it really varies from person to person.

  • What stories in the bible address this topic?

Sometimes I wonder why God blesses some people more than others. Or why some people seem to be able to always get away with their sins better than others? How much of our living is our choice or how much is under God's control? I do not understand the idea of sin sometimes. There are people who do really cruel things or live sinful lives, it does not seem to phase or effect them directly for what I see. They do not always suffer severe consequences either. I easily feel convicted/guilty whenever I do something bad, why can't I live free like them without worrying ever second if whatever I am doing is sinful or not? Does God really care if I neglect church does? Sometimes it is difficult to believe God will actually punish or judge us, considering how carefree a lot of people live their lives.

  • Cultures & Groups What does this even mean?

People always throw around the word "open-minded", "close-minded", "ignorant", "bigot." Sometimes it seems like if you do not agree with something you are labeled judgmental, close-minded etc. It is way too confusing. Obviously some people are actually close-minded, ignorant, bigot, etc. How do you know if you actually are or someone is trying to get you do something? I have heard of guys complaining some girl is stuck-up, prude, just because they will not have sex with them. I do not want to be a bad person, but I do not want to be a doormat either. I just want to know the truth.

  • Christianity If God is merciful with our sins, why do we have to change?

Why does God even forgive those who are severely wicked? If your sins have hurt other people, what are you supposed to do?

I feel guilty very easily. I wish i was one of those who hardly ever felt guilty for anything.

Why is it mean to tell someone they are evil if they really are? How are you even supposed to treat those who are evil?

  • How can i make a story out of this?

Part of me wants to write a story where I could go back and be the mean girl in junior high and high school. I was needy, desperate for friends in high school. I felt like people walked all over me. It's a little embarrassing, I still hold revenge against some people and I wish I stood up for myself. I feel like I had no self-respect back then. And there was this guy I really liked but I was too scared he would reject me. I wish I could go back and tell some people off even though I am adult. Other things I feel passionately about is Marilyn Monroe, I wish I could be very beautiful and just not care. I wish I were more childlike and simple like Marilyn Monroe. I love the tropics. I want to feel free again. I love natural living. I just miss not caring so much about things. Another thing I am passionate about is religion and morals.
