I am on a low carb diet. Not Atkins or South Beach per se, but just not eating any more than 20 carbs total (minus dietary fiber) daily. A friend and I were dicussing this (she is an avid Atkinser). She insists you lose more weight on Atkins than if you just cut out carbs. Anyone have personal experiences to compare?

I really like different names but not ones that are too out there

Message: I am sure my this account will be suspended after you read this and "turn me in". The fact is that I cannot be kept out of this forum. I have multiple accounts and I now have a job to do. I am so sick and tired of these assholes reporting that I am starting my plan of attack. If you really are a nurse you are intelligent enough to understand what I am saying. U know as well as I that there are plenty of dumbasses in here and most people are fairly ignorant to begin with. I have a college education in mechanical engineering and also about 7 years exp. in medicine. I know that I am going to be able to give answers and someone will get killed. Yes that is my intent. If I can get just one baby to die from my suggestions to a mother or some dumbass to electrocute himself because of how I describe a repair, it will all be worth the effort. With 20 years exp. in electrical work I know how to do all electrical repairs which means I also know the wrong ways to repair. I am willing to bet I can get someone killed and this is very exciting for me. I really want to see some babies die though. After the **** I put up with in here today my decision is final. I will be opening at least 30 accounts tomorrow from a variety of computers so that I will be allowed to use all the accounts for Y!A. Trust me, I am one mean, cruel, and ruthless son of a *****. I want some people to die. God, if I could just be there to see it. I have had it and I want to cause as much pain as soon as it is possible.

Ahhh, fellow Yahoo Answers Folk, it must be summer becuase suddenly the questions have been reduced to the following:

Am I pretty?

Am I pregnant?

Tell me your opinions on the phrase "possession is 9/10 of the law" in regards to illegal immigration??? Do you belive it is irrelevant or do you believe that once there are enough illegal aliens in the USA, they will take control of our power?

Am I the only one who is sick of hearing people gripe about how awful America is??? What ever happened to patriotism? Does parts of our government suck? Absolutely!!! But am I still proud to be an American??? HELL YEAH!!!

What do you do to a toxic friend?? I attend a non-traditional college. (most of the students are older, have kids and are married). I also work at this college. My "friend" works there and is in most of my classes.

We really hit it off at the beginning of semester. Then she kinda went psycho. She is really needy and clingy. I think she is a good person at heart, but is just really insecure. Anyway, she has started sending me crazy emails and just being a b*tch. How do I cut it off with her and still maintain a professional work and learning atmosphere???

She counted me off on punctuality. I work at the school and get off at exactly the same time class starts. She knows this. By the time I get my bag, climb 3 flights of stairs, I am MAYBE 2 minutes late (she is usually still calling roll when I walk in).

She also counted me off on hygiene!! Mind you, there are days that I don't feel like putting on make-up but I ALWAYS have clean clothes, deodorant on, teeth and hair brushed, and I don't look THAT bad without make-up.

The last thing she counted me off on was work management. Mind you I have a husband, a 16 month old baby, work full time, take full time classes, and have maintained a 4.0 GPA for over 4 semesters. How do I have bad work management???

I have a 17 month old bi-racial daughter (I am white and her father was Hispanic). Her father abandoned us, and has never seen her. I am now engaged to a wonderful man who accepts us both lovingly. He is also white.

My problem is, when we are out in public, some people ask rude and very personal questions about my daughter. I have been asked if I cheated on my boyfriend, asked where we adopted her from, and why she looks nothing like either of us.

My fiance plans to adopt my daughter when we are married. I am just wondering how to respond to people who are presumptuous and ask such questions???!!!

Hi! My 17 month old daughter is bi-racial. I am caucasion, and her biological father was hispanic. He is not in her life. However, the only father she has ever known (my fiancee) is also caucasion. We will be getting married soon, and he will be adopting her. We plan to legally change her last name to his as well.

My question is, if my fiancee and I have more children, they will all be caucasion as well. As my daughter gets older, I need to know how to answer the questions she will ask about her biological father and her ethnicity. I don't want her to go to school and get shocked by bigotty children making racist remarks. Nor do I want her to feel less loved than our other future children.... Any suggestions???

Hello all, I am applying for an RN program in the fall and have to write an essay on what being an RN means to me, and what I would offer the specific program!

I am soooo stressed over this. It is my future and I can't seem to write anything that sounds the slightest bit coherent!!

My question is, how do we go about this.

The biological father is NOT on the birth certificate. He has no child support order, nor has he ever seen her. He is also not a legal resident of the States.

My husband-to-be is the only father she has ever known and we really wish for him to adopt her so we can change her last name to ours.... We have an appointment with a lawyer, but I was just wondering if anyone out there could tell me what to expect!

Is it just me, or do many of the people on Y!Q&A need sex education? Seriously, how many questions per day do you see that are "am I pregnant" or "when will I start my period"?

Can't people just call their doctor, read a health book, or take a pregnancy test? I guess I'm just old school, I believe that before you start having sex, you need to know a little about how the body works!
