Is this an ideal Djent Guitar?
Any djent guitar will need a bright sound. The wood seem to add "seasonings" to the overall sound of the guitar. The kind of wood that will give a bright sound would be like maple. Well harder maples.
The wood Djent would like would be a bright sounding wood. I'd prefer hard maple, with the top wood being flamed maple.
As far as pickups go, I think, honestly passive pickups like really mid-driving passive pickups such as a Bare Knuckle Painkiller would be ideal. But there are people who use actives as well (ie. Tosin Abasi). Besides, Actives give a great output. If I were to choose pickups, i would prefer it to be a passive one like a Bare Knuckle Painkiller or just the painkiller itself. My second would be an Active EMG 81.
Strings, theres no problems with strings unless u have a gauge that's got something above .056 for any rhythm. I use a .060 in my 6 string, and it sounds tremendous, but the EMG Hz's i use can't grab the whole flat frequencies a string like that would give out. So, a 7 string guitar would be a natural preference for me. I have a 6 string (Jackson PDX Demmelition with the passive EMGs, body wood being alder, giving a beautiful clean sound, without hooking up to anything).
For Tremolo systems, I'd prefer the ones which doesn't use up alot of space in the body, because less wood, a bit less stronger it'll sound. I have a floyd rose, and its quite easy to get it into tune. Atleast to me, but it takes out alot of wood from the body.. and that sucks out my "seasonings". Looking at the benefits of a Kahler system, I've decided to go with a Kahler Hybrid bridge.
So keeping all this in mind, I've searched for the Ideal Djent Guitar (atleast what it would be to me), and this guitar seems like too perfect for it.
B.C. Rich Warlock Kerry King Signature 7-string.

1 AnswerPerforming Arts9 years agolosing pitch at higher frets. help.?
hey guys, i got myself a jackson, yes the guitars that sometimes often come with a misaligned truss rod. i got a problem with my first string. see, when i reach the 12th fret, the fret pitch is a bit lower than the 12th fret harmonic. and it keeps losing pitch on the following frets up till 24th. i gotta a jackson pdx demmelition and i love this guitar. they said its for heavy gauge strings and used for lower tunings and i use a .60 for my sixth string and .10 for the first string. i tune my guitar to mainly A standard tuning. what do u think is the problem? is it normal? can i fix it?
I used this guitar for over a year and the screws of the pickups and bit parts of the floyd rose are rusted. how do i get them looking good again?
