  • Online shops VAT (UK) and other taxes?

    I have been looking at online shopping and setting up a shop and was looking for a little clarification in regards to taxes.

    If I was to set up a shop online hosted in the UK and registered as a UK company, I’d have to charge VAT on items sold within the UK, but what would happen if I sold to someone outside the UK, do you charge VAT as a UK company or do you charge the local equivalent? Say I sold to someone in the USA, would they see the price plus VAT or would they have to see the price plus US Sales Tax?
