1 AnswerEthnic Cuisine7 years agoAt what age will duty free sell you liquor?
Does duty free sell liquor based on the legal drinking age of their country or to the country in which you are traveling from. For instance, will the duty free in Fort Erie, Ontario sell to a 19 year old even though the liquor must leave Canada through Buffalo where the drinking age is 21.
2 AnswersPacking & Preparation7 years agoHelp me identify a song?
We have a song that plays at work. Its a soft rock song probably from the 90s or 2000s. The main identifier of the song is a mellow guitar riff and a chorus thats simply "yeah-yeah" repeated at the opening an during the song. I know thats vague but I really want to know what song that is.
1 AnswerLyrics8 years agoWhy do you have to pay for music in public domain?
My girlfriend is auditioning for NYSSMA this week and according to the judge's rules, she must buy two copies of her music (one for her and one for the judge). However, she is playing Bach which is obviously in public domain so why must she pay for the music?
4 AnswersClassical8 years agoBetter day trip city, Cleveland or Pittsburgh?
ME and my girlfriend are from Western New York and are planing a summer day trip. We have narrowed it down to either Pittsburgh or Cleveland. Which do you think is better? I have been to both, my girlfriend to neither. Not really interested in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or seeing a baseball game.

Sorry for my ignorance. I am an American student looking at attending McGill University in the fall and I was calculating my cost of attendance this morning when I had the thought, "Do I need to pay sales tax on the tuition? What about room and board?" Can someone please help me
2 AnswersCanada8 years agoIs it proper to get your homecoming date flowers?
Taking my girlfriend to homecoming, I need to know if I should get her flowers. I think she'd appreciate it, but I don't want to seem overboard. If I should get flowers, what type of flowers and how many?

2 AnswersPsychology9 years agoWhen asking a girl to prom, should you have the blessing of her friends?
I know the girl whom I want to ask to prom but I feel like I need a little reassurance from at least one maybe 2 of her close friends that she will likely say yes and that she does not have a relationship that I am unaware of. Though I feel that if I approach her friend(s), they will tell her (given she may already have some idea that I will ask her). Is asking her friend(s) the right thing to do or should I just wing it?
2 AnswersSingles & Dating9 years agoHow much would work cost on this car?
This is the car I am looking at right now:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-FORD-THUNDERBI...
If you read the description by the seller, the car has a lot of problems. I am not too concerned about the rust or paint job, but the lack of working power locks, power windows and an intact gas gauge are quite concerning. Also, the windshield has a massive chip (almost a crack) in the windshield that seem past the point of using a resen.
How much would it cost to fix these major problems?

2 AnswersEmbassies & Consulates9 years agoWhat do you do to celebrate kwanzaa?
I know it was founded in the 1960's as part of the Civil Rights movement, has lots of African roots and has a menorah like candle holder, but what exactly does the holiday commemorate? Do many African-Americans celebrate it? What are the traditions surrounding the holiday?

1 AnswerLanguages9 years agoDoes anyone else dislike the holiday season?
I seriously cannot bring myself to enjoy the majority of December. I really don't like christmas and the entire holiday season (which for me, includes my birthday). I guess I'm somewhat envious of everyone else being so happy and what not. Anyone else on my ship, or should I feel worse about myself?
6 AnswersChristmas10 years agoShouldn't the cutlet in chicken parm be cut very thin?
I was at Chef's restaurant in downtown Buffalo. It is a locally renowned restaurant for its Italian cuisine and people really love their chicken parmesan. So I love a good chicken parm too and got that. It was pretty good but it was cut really thick, almost just like a regular piece of chicken breast. I've always been a fan of the cutlet being cut thin. Is thier any other opinions out there?

17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoHow's this for a list of top classic rock artists?
1- Led Zeppelin: With arguably the greatest guitarist, drummer, vocalist, and do-it-all man in your band, I think it puts the mighty Zeppelin. 9 great albums and had their time cut short by Bonham's untimely death. Infinitely great, but could have been infinetely greater
2- The Beatles: The band that created rock as we know it today. 4 rowdy kids from the streets of Liverpool. Pioneered early album rock and changed so much over their 7 year stand as the world's best rock band. I struggle to keep them from #1
3- Pink Floyd: The kings of progressive rock. When your greatest album stays on the charts for 15+ years, you must be great. Very obscure starting out in the late 1960's, but hit their greatest stride from Dark Side to The Wall through the 1970's
4- The Rolling Stones: The world's greatest little rock and roll band. Rivaled The Beatles in the late 1960's and continued to hit high marks throughout their career. From 1968's Beggar's Banquet, to Exile on Main Street and then having the highest grossing tour in history with Forty Licks, I wish I could put them higher than number 4
5- The Who: I think the most underapreciated of any of classic rocks great bands. Tommy brought them accolades, but I think Who's Next was their best. The band has never ceased to die, even though their fellow bandmates have continuing on to play the super bowl halftime show just a few years before.
