I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 (GT-P7300). Yesterday when I was turning on my device, it got stuck at the "SAMSUNG" label picture for a really long time. I tried to restart it by pressing the power button and volume down button at the same time, but it didn't work. Then, I accidentally chose the option to install a custom OS and then, it finally turned on, but all the non-default applications are all corrupted and they all had an error. This had happened to me once before, and I don't have any other choice but to reset it to factory settings. But even though that solves the problem, we can all agree that it's a bother to wipe the data once in several months. What can I do to fix the error? Is there anything that can be done to prevent this? And if the problem shall happen again, is there a better way than to wipe all my data? Thanks in advance.

The tablet is rooted, if that information helps.

People say that playing music really loudly on headphones (without listening to them of course), and leaving them like that for sometime can make them sound better.

I'm downloading a torrent using uTorrent on Android. I tested the connection's speed using speedtest.net and it shows that my current download speed is at 100-something kB/s. I was also downloading an app via play store and the speed is around 100s, but my torrent is downloading at 0-6 kBps. There are 1000-something seeders and 100-something leechers, at that amount, usually i can still download at more than 50 kBps even 200kBps if the download speed reaches. There are around 1500-1600 peers. What can i do to download faster?

My friend just got me a pair of headphones for my birthday, and i'm trying to make it more soundproof. So far, i've tried putting in some clay and a piece of foam from my laptop's box. The clay's texture is similar to foam, only more solid. I want to know if there are better alternatives which are preferably cheap or materials that could be found at home. Thanks in advance!

I was considering Acer Aspire V5, but after reading a review or two, I discovered that it has a lot of flaws, such as short battery life, slow operation, low resolution, etc. Though the specs seemed okay at the first glance. I was wondering if you guys can help me to find better stuff, with the preferences of:

1. 14"-15" screen

2. Windows 7 or 8 OS, pre-installed

3. Something with a processor speed higher than 2 GHz

4. Longer battery life, at least longer than 4 hours.

And if possible, something with more suitable resolution. The budget is 600-800$, Please help me :)

I saw an ad about someone that is selling a blue-eyed pomeranian while browsing a local dog website, it's fun for me to see ads and know the price ranges of puppies, though it may be innacurate, i enjoyed it. I've never seen a pomeranian with blue or lighter colored eyes. All that i have seen are poms with dark brown eyes. I would like to know if having blue eyes violates the breed standards or not.

I come from a family of 3, my dad likes dogs, I like dogs, but my mom seems to see a dog no more as a low-rank, useless animal. She sometimes seems to have some kind of a grudge towards it, though sometimes not. Whenever I try to tell her about the golden heart of dogs for loyalty, etc. she seems to try not to accept it by saying errr... statements that are bad.. at least for me, and for others, that statement is just illogical. It's like when we watched a movie about Hachiko last weekend, of course we see Hachiko as a loyal and loving dog to his master, but my mom sees it no more as a naughty, disobedient dog. Last week, we had a small visit to a Shiba and Akita breeder to see the dogs (we're not planning to buy one though, it's pretty expensive. I like seeing an uncommon breed) my dad and i touched it but my mom didn't even want to get close to the dogs, she only got close to a shih tzu-poodle mix (I think) because she liked tiny dogs, for appearance and size. She didn't want to touch any of them, as if disgusted, and she was disgusted when the mix licked my hand.

Can somebody give me advice to make my mom see dogs rather as a friend and not as some disgusting, dirty creatures?

I have one... when i'm handling or trying to touch it, it'll try to bite me, can it be trained to not bite me and to not see me as a threat?

I've always wanted to get a dog, but my mom always says "No", my dad seems to be OK with it.. My current house has a medium size front yard but it's not covered with grass, well at least if I had a dog it could run around or something. I'm 13, my grades are pretty good (many advices suggests to raise one's grades, but my grades are good already), my parents pay someone to do the chores at home, and I fairly have lots of time for my dog, I only go to course 2 times a week, and the rest of the weekdays are just full of pure boredom. I currently have fish as pets, but then I realize that they're much disappointing as pets. I need to spend time feeding and changing water, scraping of algae from the glass, etc. but it gives nothing to me, just eye viewing pleasure, not more than that. I can't play with a fish, and all of the care and affection only work one way, unlike dogs that can love you back. Any advice?

I got some new fish from a breeder, some discus. And then they were fighting for territory, and one ripped its caudal and dorsal fin and it's infected with fungus. What medication is recommended? I have a bottle of AZOO Magic Disease Treatment thingy that I use to heal fin rot cases when there used to be fin rot in my pond everytime it rains. Can I actually use that? Please don't judge me, I can't control my fish to fight or not to fight. Thanks before

The store installed a jailbreak app called Blackmart Alpha which is some kind of app world that allows us to install paid apps for free. Will this void my warranty?
