  • alcoholism: questions about severe reactions?

My sister is an alcoholic/addict who is not currently using needles. I am 46 she is 43. My problem is I believe she may be way over the limit on the alcohol. She "forgot" to tell me she wanted to spend the week-end, did not eat more than a couple bites in 24 hours, drank 2 bottles of wine, and a 6 pack. continually repeated the same phrases--, threw up when she came in (bad food she said) and before she went to sleep as well. She doesn't remember the back somersaults my daughter was doing that she thought were "so" cute Saturday night. She cannot seem to track a conversation, has had seizures in the last 3 months, Is this protracted alcohol poisoning? Or just too much drinking from an addictive personality after the death of our Mom? Btw--she chose drugs and men over her kids and we might fight at how clingy she is with mine-at 20 the college student is allowed to go out with her boyfriend on Saturday night-regardless of who shows up unannounced. If she chooses to take her aunt home, she leaves again. My 23 year old son doesn't have to baby her -- he's a marine and laughing it off, but it's scaring me how she clings to my daughter and I don't think it's healthy for either one--since the sister is supplying pot, which can't be smoked in my house.

  • GGGrrr Being treated like a child is getting annoying! business phone customers and sales calls?

I answer the phones at our company (and maybe a couple other things--lol) I get why men over the age of 50 think it's ok to call me hon and sweetie and actually say "good girl" I don't necessarily handle it well, but I handle it. Customers and vendor reps under 50? I am polite but firm that really--it's not ok. And they are all fine with it! However, when a female calls and thinks it is acceptable to call me "sweetie" in a business setting she best be my grandma- And they are both deceased. Now, this lady wants something and she WILL call back, do y'all have any suggestions on how to politely and firmly explain to this overpaid imbecile that this is NOT acceptable to treat an adult in such a denigrating way? (Yes, I am steamed) Women in business should not put down other women in the workplace.

  • Wii Harvest Moon-do I want it and what do I need to buy? ?

What do I need besides the Wii Console and the game, Do I need special controllers or other items? Reviews say the game is great... is it worth buying the whole system? Is there anything you would recommend adding to the system later?

  • I am bored at my job. It's a small company. I do a/r a/p payroll, track the 4o1k.?

I do some sales, the important paperwork, some receiving, some purchasing I have done major updates to the way information is kept in the last few years. I am BORED! I told the boss I wanted a new project. It took him 3 days to come up with a 5 minute job. Any ideas? Because there should be something more important than yahoo answers while I am "working."
