How do i find out what windows version is on slave drive?
I have a cable that allows me to connect a laptop hard drive to a usb port on my desktop. I can see everything on the drive including the windows folder and everything in it. Where can I find out what version of windows is on the laptop drive? Is there a file somewhere that will show what version was installed ie. 2000, xp, vista etc. I do not want to put it in a laptop and wait for it to go through all the setup it does before it will show what version. Thanks for any help.
