A propane tank has 1000 USWG, how many BTUS?
The tank has 1000 uswg, how many cubic feet of propane gas can be vapourized and how many BTUs would this equal?
Chemistry3 years agoHow to find the concavity?
Consider the function below.
C(x) = x^(1/3)(x + 4)
Only (1/3) is the exponent
1) find where the function is concave up and down
2) Find the intervals of increase and decrease
This question is seriously confusing me. I graphed this on Demos and then entered my answer and it's telling me it's wrong. Wolfram gives a different answer which is also wrong.
1 AnswerMathematics6 years agoHow to solve this linearization problem?
Find the linearization of f(x) = cos^(2)(x) at a = π/4. Use this to approximate cos^(2)((25π+1)/(100)).
1 AnswerMathematics6 years agoTrigonometry and differentials type question?
The law of cosines states that for triangle ABC, a^2 = b^2+c^2−2bc cos(∠A), where a, b and c denote the lengths of the sides opposite from the vertices A, B and C respectively.
Suppose that a large clock has a 2 foot hour hand and a 3 foot minute hand. How fast is the distance between the tips of the hands changing when it is 4:05? (Note: both hands are moving.) Give your answer in feet per hour.

Wheat falls from an overhead bin and accumulates in a conical pile, so that the radius of the base of the cone is always twice the height of the cone. If the wheat falls at a rate of 3 m3/min, how fast is the height of the wheat pile changing when the diameter of the pile is 20 meters

1 AnswerMathematics6 years agofind the vertical and horizontal asymptotes?
Find all the vertical and horizontal asymptotes of the function f , justify with limits.
f(x)= (3e^(x))/(2-2e^(x))
1 AnswerMathematics6 years agoFind the domain of this trig function?
f(x)=sqrt(tan(2x+π))
Allright, so i know you cannot have a zero under the square root sign and that tangent cannot equal π/2+nπ.
So should i try to find the domain of the tan function and see where it is greater than zero?
If so, how would i go about doing that?
2 AnswersMathematics6 years agohow to find the domain of this function?
f(x)= sqrt(tan(2x+pi))
Thanks for helping!

1 AnswerMathematics6 years agoHow to find the P-value?
A large software company gives job applicants a test of programming ability, and the mean for
the test has been 160 in the past. Twenty-five applicants are randomly selected from one large
university and they produce a mean score of 165, with a standard deviation of 13. At a significance
level of 0.05, does this indicate that the sample comes from a population with a mean score greater
than 160?
I only want to know what kind of test i should use for this question.

1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoHow to solve this optimization type question?
Find the point on the circle x^(2) + y^(2) = 1 in the first quadrant where the tangent line to the circle encloses with the coordinate axes a triangle of the smallest area.
Confused as to what the question is asking.
1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoHow to find "f"?
f"(t)=5e^(t)+8sint
f(0)=0
f(pi)=0
f(t)=?
I got an answer of 5e^(t)-8sin(t)+(5-5e^(pi))/(pi)-(3) but it is wrong.
