The Happy Sad Panda

I'm at college with my roommate and she's going through a really rough time. The school counselors suck, so she wants to go to an outside counselor. The problem is that she can't find her health insurance card. She does, however, have a photo of it on her phone. Could she use this as proof of insurance?

Please don't answer this if you're not a police officer, current or retired.

I'm learning to drive and I'm kind of timid right now. I'm pretty good, and I always try to follow the rules. The problem is, when I go the speed limit, normally whoever's behind me gets really close to me because they want me to go faster, which I really don't want to do. The drivers in my town are notoriously impatient. I want to stay at the speed limit, but normally I get really nervous and end up going 10 or even 15 miles over the speed limit because they keep pushing me to go faster and faster.

My parents tell me that I need to do the speed limit and that the people tailing me are just a**holes, but I've also been told that even if I'm going the speed limit, I can be arrested for being an obstruction to traffic if everyone else is ignoring the speed limit and going way faster than I am.

I want to be a good driver and I don't want to get in trouble, but I'm really confused. I really don't know what to do, and if an actual police officer could tell me what I will and won't get in trouble for, that would be fantastic. Thank you so much for helping me, and thank you for your service in the police force.

Sooo, now it's supposed to storm tomorrow, on the day of my graduation party that was planned entirely outside. I have ten teens (including myself), a 10-year-old, and an 8-year-old to entertain. I really don't want this party to suck. Excluding the younger kids is not an option, so everything has to be appropriate. Ideas, please? Thank you!

I downloaded the app called "Whisper" where you can post a picture with a secret or something you want to get off your chest written on it. I'm trying to make my first post to create my account, but I've hit a bump. At the last step, it has a place for me to type the username I want, and under that, it says "Create a PIN" and there's a place to put numbers. What do I do there? I've tried typing in random numbers and something keeps popping up that says "your confirmation doesn't match your PIN. What confirmation are they talking about? Help please? Thank you!

I need a quick way to strengthen the sides of my hands where my ring fingers pinkies are. I'm a high school percussionist and I've never played with four mallets for more than eight measures. The parts I've been given for this year's marching band show require me to use four mallets for most of the show.

By the end of the first percussion rehearsal (which was today), the outside halves of my hands were so tired and weak that I had trouble putting the cover back on my marimba! My band director told me it's normal for my hands to hurt because people don't usually use that side of their hand to pick things up. He said I just have to get used to it. I don't know how long that's going to take, but I want to get used to it fast. I'm the leader of our front ensemble and when percussion camp is over, it'll be my job to make sure everyone learns their parts and knows what's going on. I can't really do that if I can't even hold my own mallets correctly.

Also, I don't know if this matters, but I'm a small person (4'11") and I have really small hands. It's really hard for me to get a good grip on the mallets and I don't know if that's because my hands aren't strong enough, because I'm not holding them correctly or because my hand are too small. The mallets I hold with my ring finger and pinky keep flopping around everywhere. PLEASE HELP ME! Thank you! :D

Please describe your method the way you would describe it to a five-year-old. I am unbelievably bad with hair. I know I already posted this once, but we're going tomorrow morning so I wanna get as many opinions as I can!

My hair is really, really thick and wavy and it's about 5 inches away from reaching my waist. It hasn't been this long in a really long time and I forget what I used to do to keep it from getting super tangled. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks everyone! :)

I know that all animals poop, but I don't know if he counts as an animal or what. Does he poop? Does he need to poop? I don't even know if he eats!

I think I want a baby?! What the hell is this?! I'm so freaked out!!! I'm SIXTEEN! I can't take care of a baby! I know I can't! I can't afford to have or adopt a baby! I have to worry about school and marching band and getting ready for my life! What the heck?!

I've always loved everything cute like kittens and puppies and little kids and babies. I love looking at and playing with other peoples' pets and I love babysitting babies and little kids. Everyone tells me I'm really good and the kids love me. Whenever I see or take care of someone else's baby or toddler I think "I want one." That's fricking insane!!! What's happening to me?

I know that having a baby is a TON of work and a GIGANTIC responsibility and I'm definitely nowhere near ready for that physically, mentally, financially, or emotionally. I definitely do not want to have sex with ANYONE in the entire universe for a very long time, even my caring, adorable boyfriend. I definitely do not have enough money to adopt let alone care for a developing human being. I know all these things and I keep repeating them to myself whenever I start thinking about babies. And I still feel like I need one.

Is this a hormone thing? This has to be a hormone thing. This better be a freaking hormone thing. Please help me! I'm freaking out! This is really scaring me and I don't know what to do about it. Thank you for your help and time.

We hang out and do fun stuff like go to the beach, go to our local amusement park, and work on arts and crafts, which might seem kinda dumb since now we're all in our teens (13-16), but it's fun. Two of us really love art, so that's how we relax after a few intense days of non-stop awesomeness. If you cant think of art projects, how about activities? We're not allowed to have water balloon fights anymore...

Every year we decorate t-shirts and sometimes we make bracelets or make stuff out of clay. In previous years, we've also made a lava lamp, used an optical illusion to make it look like our heads were expanding, and set off a fountain of Coke and Mentos geysers.
