What laptop should I get for college?
So college is coming up this fall and I'm in need of a laptop. The only one I've seriously looked into getting is a Macbook. Yeah, they're really nice and all, but they're so expensive. I just need a laptop that's durable and gets the job done- idk if it's flashy, as long as it'll last a long time and won't freeze up on me it'll work. I'm a communications major, so I don't exactly need anything special about it. Anyone got any suggestions? Should I get the Macbook? HELP ME!!!

So, here's my dilemma. I'm a soon to be graduating senior and I'm going into a major at my university (communications) that doesn't require me to take any advanced math classes, just a basic math (like every college in America). Of course, the route would be to take the simple college algebra right? Here's the deal- I'm taking AP Calculus AB at my high school. I'm decent at Calculus; I've maintained a B through the year and I understand the material fairly well. I don't plan on taking the test though- On the 2 practice tests I've taken I got a 2, when I already need a 4 to get out of math at my university. I've thought about taking Calculus 1 in college since I already know all of the material and since I haven't taken an algebra class since I was a sophomore. What should I do- relearn a simple math, or take a harder math I already kinda know how to do?
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)8 years agoShould I take this to court? Or just pay the ticket?
So here's what happened- Me and my friend David were heading to a friend's house. She lives in a small town of about 15,000, 15 minutes from David and I's town. Both of us are 17. Our town's curfew for minors is midnight, while this town's curfew is 11:00. An officer pulls David over for going 10 over. We were pulled over at 11:12 pm. As you could imagine, the officer found out David was 17, and then finds out I'm 17. We both tell him we're not from here, but doesn't care. We were both given 130 dollar tickets for curfew violation (plus 130 dollar speeding ticket for the driver). Our parents had to come pick us up at the station. Now do I have a good enough reason to take this to court? We've planned to plead no contest and say that we didn't know what their curfew is, because we really didn't. Is this a good enough reason to get out of the ticket? If it is, how should I present it? Is there anything else I need to know that I don't know? PLEASE HELP!!!
