  • What puppies should I get, 2 dominant or a dominant and a submissive?

I'm getting a pair of pups pretty soon. It is a litter of 3 with 2 dominant ones (competing for alpha) and a submissive one. I'm going to pick 2 of them.

Should I get a 1 dominant and 1 submissive or should i get both the dominant ones instead?

  • What is going on with UFC fights these days?

I used to love watching the UFC around the times when fighters like Chuck and Matt Hughes were top fighters. But it seems like lately all of the top matches are like a game of pit-e-pat where everyone is afraid to actually fight and just stays out of range and whoever can jump in, get a quick hit, and jump back out the most times is the winner and everyone is just trying to get a decision victory. IOW if one of the fighters doesn't just walk blindly into the other's strikes then it is like nobody can do anything.

Is it that everyone takes advantage of the rules so well that everybody is playing the technical game or is there some other reason?

  • What kind of puppies are these?

I'm wondering mainly what kind of size they will grow up to be. The mother is a Jack Russel but I'm not really seeing a lot of Jack Russel in them lol. What do you think the father was?

  • What to do about this joist twisting in my attic?

The house was built in 2005. There is one joist in the attic twisting. It looks like there was blocking in place but when the builder drove in the nails they missed the blocking on this joist (nice worksmanship, eh?).

The question is: am I going to have further trouble if i don't straighten it out or can I just put some more blocking in so that it doesn't twist any further and not expect any future issues?

  • Does cable TV wire coming out of the ground need a conduit?

I just moved into a house recently that has Cable TV buried underground instead of up on poles. Where the cable comes into the house there is just a bare wire sticking up from the ground going into their box on the side of the house.

Do you think it appropriate or is it some kind of code that the wire coming out of the ground should be enclosed in a coduit? The power (obviuosly) and phone/dsl lines are also buried and also have conduits .. just not the cable.
