  • Where in the bible does it mention if house is in order then world is in order?

My husband mentioned a bible verse to me about if the house is in order the world will be in order.

His exact words were, "There's actually a verse in the bible about that. It says, if your house isn't in order then the world will never be in order."

Can someone please tell me where this is in the bible and what book and verse is it?

  • What is the reasoning behind intense Anger?

Can someone please explain to me the reasoning behind getting so angry that you want to lash out and scream, punch holes in walls and destroy others items?

It can be set off by the simplest things such as a comment I make or the dog getting in their face and wanting to cuddle.

I just don't understand how someone can get so angry that they wish to do this. I don't get angry this way and I don't understand. But I'm expected to understand and let this person show their anger. I don't like it, but I'm trying to understand it.

Can someone please explain the reasoning and why it is okay to do this?

  • Can life insurance company deny payment if claim not filed in appropriate amount of time?

My mother in law passed away in Oct and now 3 months later (Jan 7) my husband has finally gotten around to opening the life insurance letter. The insurance company stated in the letter that if he did not send them the required information by Dec 24th they cannot pay out.

Can life insurance companies do this? Deny any type of payment if information is not received by a specific date?

  • Can a domestic partner who is still living with me file for child support?

I have been living with my boyfriend for 23 years. We have 4 kids together aged 23, 20 (still living at home), 16 and 7 years old. I have not been working for 20 years but have stayed home to take care of the kids.

We have been living together for the past 23 years with his mother in her home. She recently passed away and he is now going thru probate for the house (he is only child). He has been working for the past 23 years and paying for food. His mom used to pay for all the other bills. I sell things online and contribute to items kids need when I can. I don't receive any income from him for myself, only for food.

Now that kids are getting older I wanted to find a job. Not only to help out with the kids and household expenses, but also because I don't have any income. I will be going to work for my sister. She will allow me the flexibility to take care of my kids and work around their school schedule. We have even set up a play room in the office for my youngest son for when he will need to come to work with me.

But my boyfriend who I still live with is telling me if I take this job that he will sue me for custody of the children and for child support payments. He says I am harming the family and he won't be able to work full time anymore. He says he doesn't need the money because he has plenty from what his mom left him but he will file suit because he will be losing money and he doesn't want son at the office or in child care.

    Can he do this?

  • Can sulfur soap cause fever in children?

My 7 year old son used my 3 percent sulfur soap in the shower the other day, and the next day after school he came down with a fever.

Could the sulfur soap have caused some sort of allergic reaction which cured him to get a fever? He also has a headache.

  • How to convince husband that giving our daughter medication against his wishes was best thing to do?

My daughter recently came down with symptoms of strep throat. I took her to the doctor and the doctor diagnosed as strep, however the strep test was negative. The doctor told me the only other thing it could possibly be is Mono, however she still believed it to be strep. The dr told me to give my daughter the medication and if she came down with a rash then it was most likely mono.

When my husband heard this he flipped his lid and told me that the doctor "sucks big time and doesn't care about us". He told me that taking the antibiotics if she had mono could cause problems such as hepatatic issues & damage to liver. He instructed me not to give the medicine to my daughter and to get a second opinion.

I disobeyed my husband's wishes because I believed the dr's strep diagnosis. I know serious issues can crop up from strep and I felt that waiting another 24 hours for another dr opinion was not in the best interest to her health.

After about 3 doses of medicine my daughter started feeling better, I had to come clean to my husband and let him know that I gave her the medicine. He has since exploded in anger that I disobeyed his wishes and is now telling me that I don't care about him or his wishes and is threatening to throw me out of the house. How do I convince him that doing this was not a sign of me not caring about him? And that it was the right thing to do?

  • What should be the cut off age for stocking stuffers?

I have 4 kids...ages 21, 18, 14, & 5! Needless to say christmas can get pretty expensive especially when trying to fill the stockings!

As they are getting older I find it's getting harder and more expensive. My oldest daughter is now 21 years old, is going to college and has a job but still lives at home. I'm finding it more and more difficult to fill her stocking!

What age do you think is appropriate to stop filling the stockings?

  • Does Pinterest Hurt or Help Photographers?

Some of my photography has recently been pinned to Pinterest. The pins and re-pins all have a link back to my store and my photo's are watermarked. However...I've been reading both reasons for and against having your photography shared on Pinterest.

So what do you think? Does Pinterest hurt or help photographers? Why?

And if you are a photographer have you benefited from Pinterest? Or has it hurt your photography business in some way?

  • Is there a way to keep my teen son from resetting the router?

My teen son has taken our family router hostage. He has changed the password and admin email area too I assume since my husband's email address is now invalid.

And thus my son has taken over our router and set controls for all other computers to be kicked off internet come midnight.

Since I'm never awake at midnight is not that bothersome...but if i need to get on early in the morning it's a problem.

I'm planning on resetting the router to once again be able to gain access but what's to stop him from doing the same and taking it hostage once again? other than physically locking the router in a locked room? Is there away to keep him from resetting the router?

  • Do I HAVE to get or have insurance now that Obamacare is in effect?

I've been reading about how now that Obamacare is in effect that you will now get fined yearly for not having health insurance. Is this true?

As much as I want & need health insurance right now, I just can't afford it. I've been unemployed for the past 20 years as I've been living with my boyfriend (never married) and taking care of our 4 kids for the past 20 years. He works, but I don't and therefore I don't receive any money other than what I get to spend for food and gas to get the kids to and from school.

We've tried several times to get me on my boyfriends health insurance through his work but I am not eligible because we cannot meet some of the guidelines that the insurance company requires.

Is it true that Obamacare is forcing people to get health insurance or pay yearly fines if they don't? How will they be able to know if you don't get insurance coverage? I cannot afford health insurance right now or the fines for not having insurance.

It's bad enough that my shoes and clothes are falling apart because I don't work or make any money to buy new ones...now I'm going to have to pay money I don't have to the government because I can't afford health insurance?

Could someone please explain how this all works because I just don't understand!

  • Can a person have more than one type of skin cancer at the same time?

I'm 42 and for the past month I've been seeing an appearance of A LOT of new moles popping up all over me.

They are all different sizes, colors & types. I have always had many moles which appear so that's not a problem.

But this past week many of the new moles which have suddenly appeared have started changing size, Shape & have become itchy.

Worried that it may be skin cancer but there's more than one and they all look different. Can skin cancer occur at multiple places at once and is it possible to have different types at once?

  • Can skin cancer cause a tumor in the body far away from the skin lesion?

I'm freaking out! 2 months ago I found a lump in my breast about 5-6 inches away from a black raised mole that I've had for years...and it's also deep inside by my chest wall & heart! Had the mole for years & never thought anything of it.

Initially I thought the lump might be a pre-menopausal thing (I'm 43) and waited a month to see if it would go away. When it didn't I had to wait another month to save some money because I'm uninsured before I could make an appointment to get it checked out.

I have an appointment on Thurs with a obgyn...but now I'm even more worried because this past week out of the blue a red spot showed up on the same breast with the lump & mole. Just showed up out of the blue...I know this because I've been keeping an eye on my breast for any changes.

Then I also noticed about 50 more red spots and dark raised moles that have been appearing over my torso over the last week.

I'm freaking out and now wondering if it might be stage 4 melanoma skin cancer. Can skin cancer cause a tumor inside the body a ways away from the original mole / skin lesion area?

Or could it be possible to have two totally different types of cancer at the same time? I've been extremely stressed out for the past two months due to this and my mother currently going through a second round of chemo for fallopian tube cancer.

Am I just freaking out about nothing? Or could this be really serious? I have 4 kids with my youngest being 5 years old! I need to be around to take care of him! Please any info would be helpful...I've been scouring the internet for info but have seen nothing that shows symptoms of both tumors/lumps & red spots / moles!

I am otherwise healthy with no symptoms of being sick! This all came out of the blue!

  • Is it possible to get skin cancer on the breast and have it cause a lump in your breast?

Worried because I found a painful lump in my breast very very close to a raised mole I've had on my breast for years. Now out of nowhere 3 days ago a small red spot appeared on that same breast.

Is it possible that skin cancer on the breast can cause a painful lump in the breast? And can other cancer spots occur as well? Or is it possible for breast cancer to cause skin cancer?

  • Is 2 months too long to wait to get lump in breast checked?

Found a lump in my breast. Waited a month to see if it would diminish or if perhaps it was part of my monthly cycle. When it didn't diminish I had to wait another month to save up some money to get it checked because I have no health insurance.

I'm afraid that I may have waited too long after finding the lump to get it checked? What is the usual timeline for "early detection"? Is 2 months too long to wait to get it checked?

It was already a good sized lump when I found it and it has not diminished in size. The slight aching pain that I have with it has also begun to become more consistent. I'm worried I may have waited too long.

  • Can skin cancer turn into breast cancer if on your breasts?

For the past few months I've been getting achy little pains off and on in my breast / heart area. When I finally went feeling around the other day I felt a lump inside. In that area is also a raised mole that I've had for years...and yesterday another mark a little off to the side of the mole and lump area appeared. It's a different color than all my other moles (I have many always have). Sort of reddish in color.

I'm very worried about both. Could this sore lump in my breast be a cause of possible skin cancer that has spread? Does skin cancer do that? Can skin cancer on a breast turn into breast cancer?

I'm especially worried because my mom is currently undergoing a second round of Chemo for Fallopian Tube cancer. Other than that there has been no other history of skin cancer or breast cancer in my family.
