Okay, true tragedies aside, can you beat this week for bad luck?
I've got a terrible cold. My son's ball python died today. Yesterday the kids were diagnosed with lice--at a Girl Scout meeting. My plumbing exploded today in the downstairs bathroom, spewing out black gunk all over the place. I lost a check for $168. Yarg. Some weeks it seems like it would be better to stay in bed! Share your crapola week with me!
2 AnswersFamily1 decade agoWhat does it mean when I try to answer a question from a particular member, and after clicking on the question
I see the message: You can not access this particuar question at this time? They are all from one person. Have I been blocked by him? I thought if you were blocked, you couldn't even see the question in the public forum? And what can I do? I have done nothing to this person, who seems to think I'm the one giving him a lot of thumbs down, when actually I never have. I give him thumbs up. Thanks.
3 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoI'm considering buying an ancient tent camper. What are the problems I'm likely to run into?
My friend has had it for years, and generally takes good care of her things. She is very organized. She says the canvas is in good shape. What should I consider and look for when I look at it? She only wants $200 for it, so that's a really good deal, unless I'm going to have to spend a fortune fixing it up. I'll have to have a tow package put on my Toyota mini-van as it is.
15 AnswersCamping1 decade agoAny scouts out there who have done Wood Badge?
I am signed up for a course this summer, and I'm really looking forward to it. What to expect?
1 AnswerOther - Outdoor Recreation1 decade agoSo, experienced scouts: Which is better? Northern Tier, Sea Base or Philmont?
Different animals, I know, but if you've done all three, which did you prefer? Why?
1 AnswerOther - Outdoor Recreation1 decade agoI bought a Walrus Hurricane Hole on eBay this year, and I love it. Anybody else like this brand of tent?
It's a four season tent, and I found it really made a difference keeping me warm this winter. What other brands of tent do you like? I'm afraid I'm going to turn into a tent collector. Actually, the Walrus is my only really good tent. I have a nice Eureka, but my kids lost the poles!
1 AnswerCamping1 decade agoWorking on some Girl Scout trips for the next few years...?
In 2011, we'll probably head to the Grand Canyon, from Ohio. Any suggestions on routes, and overnight camping stay places? Clean, safe, family oriented tent camping, please. Suggestions on things to see on the way welcome, too. Like, the worlds biggest ball of yarn, or whatever. Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - United States1 decade agoWhere should I camp with my Girl Scouts at Niagra Falls?
We're probably going next summer. Money is definately an object. Nice, safe tent camping area, please. And yeah, since I'm going with my Girl Scout Troop, flush toilets and showers would be nice.
1 AnswerNiagara Falls1 decade agoGirl Guides? In a few years, I'm taking my Girl Scout Troop to England...?
We will start in London, at Pax Lodge. I want us to see all the good stuff the locals think is good, rather than what a tour guide might drag us to. What do you suggest? I'd also like to take the group up to Scottland to see some castles, and...stuff. I'd like to go by train. Also, I was debating between getting from the US to UK by plane or by ship. I've never been across the "pond", so advice welcome. Thanks!
11 AnswersOther - United Kingdom1 decade agoI want to take my Girl Scout Troop to England.?
Should we fly, or take a ship? We're starting in London, at Pax Lodge. What should we see while we're there? Is it hard to travel up to Scottland for a few days? Maybe by train? What should we see there?
8 AnswersLondon1 decade agoWhen my computer warns me, "System Resources low", what does that mean?
It says shut off some processes, or programs, or something like that, but I can't figure out what's running. I don't have anything open. Obviously, my understanding of this thing is minimal...I mostly word process.
7 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoFinish this lymric. Keep it clean, please...takes more thought, anyway.?
There once was a llama named Duke...
by the way, this is for fun...I'm an adult.

Something that happened to you and your troop when you took them camping.
6 AnswersCamping1 decade agoBall Python won't eat?
This usually happens when he/she is getting ready to shed. But his/her eyes are very clear, with no sign of impending shedding. Hasn't eaten in nearly four weeks. We keep putting the mouse in, and he/she ignores it. Then we take it back out so it won't harm the snake! Monty, the snake, looks otherwise healthy. Any ideas?
4 AnswersReptiles1 decade agoAny miracle cure out there for an older, house-pooping dog?
Rescue Shih Tzu, probably a brood ***** before coming to us, very nice, but can't seem to housebreak her.
